Mmmm, *stunning* if you like that sort of thing, or if you're one if the following - a Bond villain, footballer (or football manager) or drug baron :p

We had a gorgeous Victorian villa on the South Coast with an admittedly butt-ugly 1950s building next door that had been built to replace another grand villa that was hit by a bomb during WW2. In around 2000 the property was bought by a local property developer who was also a notorious drug dealer. He proceeded to knock it about till it resembled a Sandbanks house.....totally unsuited to the style of the conservation area it was located in. I'm afraid I wouldn't have given 2p for it by the time he was finished, although he didn't intend to sell as it was for his own family use......valued at £1.5 million now.

I agree with Davesnave, I'd happily take a Sandbanks house and sell it for something with more character, original features and land......or else would live in one of the original Sandbanks houses, although I guess not many still exist :o

I live near Sandbanks and Branksome Park - both lovely areas but they resemble a building site due to redevelopment everywhere.

this one is mine, be honest!

Went on the market pre christmas, !!!!!! all viewings.
I have recently reduced it in the last week, to its current.
Loft conversion is done to building regs.

I don't know the prices in your part of the country.

    Minor niggles

Hide the underbed storeboxes under a cover that goes to the floor or find somewhere else for them. The room looks big enough for a double bed, so shows it as a double bedroom, rather than 2 singles on that floor

The living room wallpaper is a bit strong for my liking but some people like bold paper.

    Positives

The upstairs loft conversion looks good with it's ensuite.

The other rooms look clean and tidy

Someone's gone to the trouble of putting a bath upstairs but not a toilet. I wonder whether people traipse downstairs to the toilet in the night or just use the bath?:(

I wish there were houses at this price round here. After work, it could be a lovely home with all those original features.

Lovely fireplaces in pics 2 and 3. Let's hope the new owner keeps them but updates the rest.

It looks much better than the houses either side. Love the original features, especially the old range. (I'd love to have an old range in my house.)

It's all the old, run-down hotels being demolished for blocks of flats.

I used to take around 70 school children on their week away from home to hotels in Branksome Park and Milford on Sea. Both of those we used are long gone. I think the ones in Swanage are still there. :)

My grandparents' house was the same. The purchased it in the 1960s (I believe) and afaik it already had an upstairs bathroom with just bath & basin. The only loo was downstairs off the kitchen. I remember staying there as a toddler in the early seventies and having to use a chamber pot in the night, which was fine for me but less so for them  My uncle inherited the house in 1989 and only then did he have a loo installed in the bathroom :o
