Hilarious, but also sad that those who may have spent the first part of their lives fighting oppression, now spend their remaining days pathetically mimicking the lifestyles of their former oppressors.
Looks like a house built and owned by an Indian Family. I grew up in Rhodesia, Zimbabwe and the region. I spent 3 years as a chartered surveyor in Zimbabwe and almost all of the properties owned by Indians were as colourful as that.
The Afrikaaner or Dutch style houses are much more austere. Would this have been a house owned by a person of colour trying to imitate their former oppressors it most certainly would not look like that0 -

You're right. The picture with the spiral stairway shows a portrait of someone who appears to be an Indian gentleman.
