She seems a bit full of herself to me and is overplaying the Gaudi influence too. I reckon there is a lot of "oh so 00's" Moroccan design which she has attempted to soften and has thrown in Gaudi's name because he had some Islamic architecture influences (though he used the space and layout more than the fake bazaar look that seems to prevail here)
Gaudi was really about Neo-Gothic, sweeping, organic lines, and especially mosaic. Not imitation old render wall finishes, fake Bedouin tents and minarets. I mean surely, if you're Gaudi influenced, there should be something like this in the garden at least?
And lots of scaffolding to get the true Sagrada Fam!lia (Barcelona Cathedral) experience. :rotfl:
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
She might be very pleased with it but I think it's a total ruddy mess. It's all very well customising a property to provide you with a perfect home but it may not be to anyone else's taste. I can't imagine there are many people who, even if they could afford it at that price, would want it.0

There are a few Gaudi-esque touches but as a Barcelona resident who has seen his buildings many times, I agree. Gaudi's own buildings have very distinctive exteriors, and the outside of this house has absolutely no hint of his style at all.StumpyPumpy wrote: »Love the way that they neglect to say that Monika Dyson is not only the "designer" but also the owner.
