alexsheehan :- I have kept up with your loquacious replies and have come to this simple conclusion. You clearly have a good command of English, but, regrettably, are nowhere near as witty as you think you are.
Remember the quote from Hamlet? "******* is the soul of wit"..
Remember what "*******" is?

Guys Dad – As per your instruction - I will be brief. "Your noble son is mad!"
I have no preconceived notion of the level of my wit (other than lack, thereof) or any misunderstandings or misconceptions about it. Though, if at least one person has seen my post and had a bit of a giggle, then I am happy! Although it was just intended (as originally posted) as a bit of a "vent". Clearly however, my level of wit is not something you seem to care for, so stop reading! You are superior to me!
Evidently, I appear to be verbose in my posts, especially the former. However, I was just hoping to give someone a chuckle along the way – I do have a tendency to waffle, so apologies for this, but I tend to write as I am thinking, not necessarily constructing coherent sentences or with any predetermined malice or forethought.
Subsequent posts however were relatively protracted due to my fear of offending anyone and my increasing need (I feel) for further explanation, so I may reduce the risk of such offence.
However, I do take offence to your command to “Heed” Hamlet’s advice of Brevity (ok, just in case I offend any Hamlet fans out there - I know it was actually Polonius who was quoted as saying “... brevity is the soul of wit”), - who are you to instruct me how to communicate?
This, once again, is not intended to be belittling, or make out that I am in any way superior to yourself – I am merely ridiculing your instruction!
Oh yes, I was meant to be brief wasn’t I? Never mind.0 -

Just trying to be helpful and suggesting a better way to make more of us giggle. Looking forward to your contributions on some other threads in the future. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Naf - you're right it's the executive office but then it's a step up from the current level of CS Alex is currently communicating with and seems unhappy with. Better than nowt.
I did already suggest this back in post 17...Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

Hes the new ceo of them.
Orange only pretend to be nice and helpful when getting your signature on contracts or flogging phones, you need help after that and its like talking to a dead horse I have heard another call it.
Email him above and their team will reply to you, they are not friendly and begrudge doing their job almost it seems, but they will be the ones to re credit you for their error. But dont expect an apology, that is beyond them, they will likely growl at you, bit by bit admit something went wrong withour admitting anything and then credit you.
You for that will be expected to kiss their **** for the honor of them replying.
So when you have your credit and depending on how your experience of them is, I would then consider wether it is time to move on to another provider who dont think they are royalty talking to the lower classes.
Actually modern day royalty would be more polite than orange0 -
Transformer - I am extremely polite, am a well educated, well-rounded (I believe anyway) person, I actually LOVE my job and am well rewarded for it and guess what I do? - I work in a call centre for Orange Customer Services!! Bet you thought that was impossible! I'm not saying you haven't had bad service but don't assume we're all the same. It's just unlucky you didn't get me on the end of the phone...0

Oh and yes, I found the first post condescending. Don't assume all retail/call centre workers are ingorant, uneducated half-wits. As I said, I am well educated, I CHOOSE to do what I do!0

oopsadaisydoddle - if you had read my post fully (admittedly it is lengthy, so I can possibly forgive you for not doing so!) I did state that I know that not every retail/call centre/assistant is an "...ignorant, uneducated half-wit...", as you put it.
I stated that there are some members of staff who actually do care, know what they are doing and do it very well, but I also stated, that in my experience, they are very few and far between - as I also stated to Miss Keith above, if you are one of the few who do take pride in their job, actually do give good service and advice and actually give a damn, then I applaud all of you - you really do deserve a pat on the back (no sarcasm intended!). If you are one of the especially few who do have this ability and achieve this scarce characteristic, then you should be paid MORE in my view! Go you!
If indeed you are one of 'the few', then you should not take offence at this post at all at all!
Is there a way I can contact your boss(es) and let them know how invaluable you all are? I would be interested to know, merely because it seems impossible to acquire the attention of an actual manager of any kind from Orange.0 -

Put it this way the ceo office of orange does not rate its store reps trustworthy!!!!!!!!! In fact one quoted that you cannot trust them verbally and was got on tape:eek:
You may consider yourself nice, I consdier you nice, no reason to doubt you there, but there are rarely any threads of resolutions with orange more than other companies, and the rate of times a call goes dead when its a complex issue needs to be looked into by them as well it is well documented as a problem with many many people needing help.
The we will call you back also, its a regular non event, they dont call you back. Perhaps you are nice as said, and perhaps we could trust if you say you will call back then you do, great, and to be fair on these boards you are rare to see a thread start with a story of how happy someone is and wants to praise orange, but that is the nature of the forums people come for help.
I dare you to yourself or your union rep to contact the ceo office and ask them what is this about a woman having a tape of ceo staff member giving their true opinion on the trustworthiness of their staff in stores. Its another forum but another orange issue and the evidence is on tape.
How would you feel to know that ceo office of orange on tape said a customer is silly for trusting what told verbally by an orange rep in one of their stores !!!!!!!!!!
The customer in this case was miss sold and later found a fraudulant entry was added to the contract as in details put down that were fabricated by the store rep and when that disabled person said she trusted the orange brand that the staff were there in uniform to help and well why should she not trust them to know their job presumed trained in or thereabouts, the reply was the same.
When said are you aware of what you just said, the reply was YES.
So my view has to go on that the ceo office must deal with a lot of similar complaints and issues and well perhaps they should market their views to protect the customer in future.
There are a lot of complaints about orange, we cant all be making it up and just poking fun at the reps for the hell of it, there is substantial evidence that a lot of complaints are similar in that the customer experience after the sale is not positive when things go wrong.
Personally thats what counts and thats when you realise who you are really signed up to.
I say agian I dare you to internally call your ceo office and refer the the statement I posted and you can bet they will know what thread you are refering to. Perhaps then you could ask them is it true or codswallop and if true (tape exists) then you have a right to be angry at them as well that is what was said to a customer.
DARE YOU:cool:
Please post the result of any such call to them, the recording i believe will be appearing on you tube in the near future. You will then be able to verify it yourself if the ceo office say it was not said.
I KNOW THAT CUSTOMER VERY WELL, I HAVE HEARD THE TAPE, I AM SHOCKED THE EMPLOYEE HAS NOT BEEN SACKED FOR ITWe are even planning a protest of the store to see if its possible, placards and all
They are despite this treating this customer like dirt still.0 -

Exactly if you genuinely are a nice rep with accurate and confident you have in each case just done your best to help, you have no reason to be offended. People are not so silly to think all are the same in life, but you might want to speak to ceo office re the tape I heard:rotfl:
Put it this was as soon as I can I am off to another provider, orange have lost my vote, but I am sure they wont care as they seem to make no effort when are in the wrong, must be making too much money.
This upset poster I refer to is on a mission, because was basically laughed at for asking for an apology. Look round the other forums, its not hard to find.0
