Morning ladies,
Not posted in about a week, too many extra hours at workMe and OH always kiss (well not literally!) but every times one of us leaves the house, before we go to sleep, first thing in the morning, when someone brings a drink/food, if someone does the dishes etc etc and man is he a good kisser lol!
Today is cooking day for me, yesterday was payday and had a Mr T delivery booked for when I was due home with enough food ton last the month, day off today so will cook it all and freeze in portions so that I don't have to bother cooking from scratch when I get in from work... Shall need to dust off my halo afterwards of course
Any tips on making meatballs? Mine never hold their shape very well...
Hugs to all that need them, someone give me a kick up the bum to get out of bed please?0 -
Morning all
Got back from London at 11pm last night so feeling knackered today. Had a dreadful journey up, took over 3 hours and the M25 was gridlocked from the minute we got on it. The police were lovely. I found quite a few inconsistencies in my Aunt's care record so I also visited the care agency and asked some questions, I also wanted them to know I was around and snooping.
The AP alert has been raised with safegaurding team. The carer is still going in as we don't want to spook her and my Aunt's cheque book has been locked up. Mum and Dad are going to set up a joint account with my Aunt and transfer the money to the scheme where she lives. The carer was very suprised to see us yesterday, Mum and I should have been actresses.
Feels very autumnal here this morning, I feel the need to put my hands in the earth having been in London. Always feel like that when I get back and have to put my feet in the sea or touch the earth. Will probably do some light gardening today.
Hi new peeps
LOU sorry to hear about your Nan and your family, hugs.
JACKIEG hope all goes well today
REDRUBY hugs for your Dad
Sorry if I've missed anything, hugs to anyone who needs one today.
Have a good day all

Morning all,
Nice and sunny here today so hoping the car will dry out, the windows were all steamed up when I opened the doors at 6.40am. Packed DH a lunch of hm quiche, sos rolls and a slice of melon.
DD was over the moon when I took DGD home and saw that I had made their dinner & pud. She had her check up and the Midwife said the baby is quite big, she's 28wks now. She has to have an injection as DD is rhesus negative and the baby may not be.
Lots of gardening to do, I must re-pot the fig tree DB1 bought me, mow the lawn and strangle the weeds.
I slow cooked some ys braising steak last night so I'll make a Steak & onion plate pie to go with new pots and broccoli for dinner.
I have some bogof chicken breasts for tomorrow, trying to think of what else to do with them other than stuffing with cheese and wrapping them in bacon. Any suggertions gratefully received.
(((( Molly & Loulou )))

Morning ladies,
Any tips on making meatballs? Mine never hold their shape very well...
Squeeze them really hard, then refrigerate well - cook at high temperature in the oven - moving them round a frying pan makes their break-up more likely! When I make meatballs I always add a quarter to a third of dried savoury soya mince. You truly cannot taste it or see it when they're cooked, and the soya absorbs all the over-wetness that stops the meatballs sticking together. Doesn't matter if they're lamb, pork, beef mince or a mixture, the soya does the trick every single time. I tend to make huge batches and cook in the oven and then freeze to add to dishes, or for a quick pitta kebab style lunch. The soya cuts down on the red meat my family adore too.0 -
Thanks ubamother, will definitely try that.0

Redruby..... I hope that your Dad is ok and am sending (((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) for you and your poor Mum xx
Jannyannie... How are they going to catch her if the cheque book has been locked up? Is there anyway that the bank can repay the money because your Aunt has been the victim of fraud and the police are involved?
Lou....I hope you are keeping Ok x
Well I had better get my bot in gear - I want to get the housework done before DH gets home from work and then we are off to the freezer trade shop to top up the freezers a bit.
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
