Reports suggest a management buyout is being 'finalised.' Too late for some of us, even if this is close to the truth.0

Hello all, I work in Head Office too. Unfortunately there's not much to add to all the rumours that are flying about at the moment - that I'm aware of anyway!
On a more personal note can I just add to all that lost their jobs last Monday how sorry I am, and I hope you all find jobs soon.
The one thing that I am finding most frustrating about the administration is that because everything that goes out to stores has to go through administrators we are finding it nigh on impossible to communicate effectively with the stores at the moment. I know artvandelay in particular commented on this in his post. Still we are muddling on and I'm hopeful that the business will continue in some form or other.0 -
Just walked past my local store in preston adn it seems to be closed, shutters down and sign up in the window, didnt get chance to read what it said though.0

Yeah, just heard from the friends i still had at different stores that survived last week that they were made redundant today.
Just want to wish good luck to everyone involved in this, its hard to believe a few weeks ago we were all glad to get the mad christmas rush out of the way and looking forward to the new year.
Underdog says grrrrr..............0 -
The store in Lancaster appears to have a "Closed" sign & all the shutters down- is this it, or just a temporary thing?0

i know that consumers are spending less on the high street than they used to and internet downloads means that entertainment retailers arent making as much money as they could but there is always going to be a place for shopping on the high street. im absolutley gobsmacked no one rescued MZ The thing that stinks the most is that MZ were doing ok, its just that the bank got cold feet. It doesnt seem right.0

All the music zone stores officially closed now. A lot of good people are now on the dole. Music Zone was always busy, take over offers were in place, the employees wanted to work, so what went wrong? A case of greedy suppliers backed by a high street chain. You should be ashamed and Responsible for putting 1100 people out of work!!!:T0
