There have been so many people linking to european sites on here but they don't update us as to whether they arrived and were good etc.. anyone can pull a list from kelkoo/yahoo but a lot don't take cc or post to UK.0

At least retailers aren't exploiting desperate punters like those greedy sods on eBay - oh hang on, some of them are...

That's the standalone RRP £179 pack with no extra games - nice of them, eh?0 -

They are a business and have big houses and cars to run.
Also they are not forcing people to buy from them.
I personally have not paid more than £180 for the Wii's I have bought recently.0 -
For those with Argos bundles I managed to take the games back to a local store for a refund. Took a bit of arguing but they took them back and gave gift vouchers!0

You don't work for them, do you? ;-)
Of course they're not forcing people to buy from them. But as a retailer they have access to stock channels the average punter doesn't (i.e. direct to manufacturer/distributor) and to take advantage of people's desperation smacks to me of greedy cynicism.0 -

Greedy sods on ebay????????? I am selling wii's on ebay and I am NOT a greedy sod, I do auctions, its the BUYER who decides the price (that is the whole principle of an auction), for those that have listed only as "buy it nows" the buyer does not have to click on BUY IT NOW if they think the seller is not offereing a fair price.
Why the heck should I not get financially rewarded for all the hassle that I had to go through to get the Wii's that I have saved the buyer from having to go through?
Stop showing your sour grapes. It's commerce supply and demand. I have NO doubt that the whole shortage was orchestrated by Nintendo to whip up a frenzy anyway so if anyone is to blame it is the marketing whizz kid at Nintendo.0 -

Basic Wii's were on the shelf in WHSmith's in Meadowhall yesterday . A work colleague was there and picked 3 up . One for himself and he sold the other two .0
