I really do hope that the market is flooded in the next day or 2, so that ebay is full of Wii's that they cant sell, maybe they will become cheaper on ebay than the shops, that would be nice...
You are living in a fantasy IMO, although in the next 10 days there will be more because lameheads will jump on the 10p listing day at Ebay.
I made a comment a few pages back & I believe some of those hanging on & on will ultimately have to pay far more in the long run due to lost/wasted hours of searching.
The common sense route would be to look on Ebay for local items that are within your budget that can be collected, & now rather than later because I firmly believe the prices will only go up.0 -
Wii are in stock at the moment on PC World.

I'm not sure why the 10p listing day would make much difference to Wii listings. The basic price for a 99p auction is 'only' 15p anyway.0

Not sure if i read it on this site or another, but i heard a rumor that they are importing loads of Japanese models over, because they have the same plug.
I am sure it would be better/cheaper for Nintendo simply replace stocked items with a different plug, then ship it to the UK.0 -

Dream on you guys, it is laughable that you think it's unfair because demand has outstripped supply that the it has caused an increase in the price! I bet a few of you are sitting on sizable growth in equity in property that you have achieved because the VERY same principle! Bet you don't bleat on about how unfair that is?
It is NOTHING to do with ebay sellers, otherwise if there were already enough Wii's in the country to satisfy demand then the "bulk" buying (I managed to get 2!!!!) by ebay sellers would not have made a scrap of difference to the price. If you have to pay "over" the odds it is either because you are lazy or have left it too late to get little Johnny's Christmas present. Don't blame the whole concept of supply and demand for your shortfalls!
Still this forum was very very helpful for me to find my Wii's just like a lot of ebay sellers I know have done. :T0 -
All I want for xmas is a Wii. Anyone has any idea to buy one NOT at an
extortionate price?0 -
most local blockbuster video stores have Wii's, all 3 types of Xbox,ps3s psps
all whith or whithout bundles
hope this helps;)0 -
larger tescos are getting them in regularly you just have to get luckyi'm living in a parallel universe0
-
Oh and another thing the prices will not go down on ebay because its so close to Christmas.
Also I bet that "flooding" the market with Wii's from Japan or wherever they are coming from was just part 2 of marketing whizz kid at nintendo's plan, to create even more hype!0
