    Not sure i agree

Take £35 deal and take £180 off for the wii and its £20 a month and you get the wii at the right price??

That doesnt include the expensive insurance they will try and force you to get by telling you lies like with the Iphone? :D

  • Sounds a bit suss to me, they aren't online anymore either so why would they post a post like that and then go offline straight away??!!
  • All this talk of shortages, ebay sales etc. Thought people might be interested in an interesting thread on another forum:

Cant see a motive for a 3rd party to do it though - doesn't look like a referral link.

    Just doesn't seem right.

If you worked for a company and it was your job to advertise or promote, you would set up abrand name as your username to give people a bit more trust who you are and who you represent.

Most retailer employees I have seen posting in forums, give their name a contact telephone number and email address.

Also the links don't match :-

Carphone warehouse url for that specific page :-

    shop.carphonewarehouse.com/pay-monthly/free-nintendo-wii/

    The posters link :-

    shop.carphonewarehouse.com/?CODE=FREEWII&PORTAL=CONSUMER&URL=pay-monthly/all/?SEARCH=wii&TAG=1

I know the poster has inputted "Wii" as the search term which the last bit of their link would show, but the first part, "freewii" where as carphone warehouses original link says "free-nintendo-wii".

Doesn't add up, but I might be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Yup, maybe you are right and ?code is a referral code, for some reason I overlooked that.

I guess we will never know.

However if you do fancy a Wii with a phone contract then go to the website direct or go through one of the usual cashback sites so you get the comission.

If it is genuine then they won't mind people doing it that way either.
