Hardly a great deal.
Or did your trip to Calais come up trumps and your name is Imran :rolleyes:0 -
I posted this last night, and for some reason everyone is ignoring the possibility of buying from German ebay sellers, by looking here:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/ws/search/SaleSearch?sofocus=bs&satitle=nintendo+wii+konsole&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC5&fbd=1&_trksid=m37&from=R6&nojspr=y&pfid=0&fswc=1&few=&saprclo=&saprchi=&fss=0&saslop=1&sasl=&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D0&salic=3&fls=2&saatc=3&sadis=200&fpos=SO23+9AF&fsct=&sacur=7&sacqyop=ge&sacqy=&fbfmt=1&sabfmts=2&saobfmts=insif&sappl=1&ga10244=10425&saslt=2&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&sabdlo=&sabdhi=&saaff=afdefault&afcj=&afmp=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&fcl=3&frpp=200
If these stock problems continue then you're not going to do better than £200 delivered (plus about £2 for a european travel adaptor)
A saying involving a bird in the hand applies here. This time next month £215-£220 may look like a bargain. Personally, I abhor the idea of spending more than the RRP, but if you really, desperately need to get hold of one then this may be your bbest option.
(Note: my original post explaining why this is a good option is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=6898743&postcount=8068)No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -

!!!!!! we werent talking about an Ebay item!
No method of payment is 100% safe. I was merely trying to point out that bank transfer is widely used by stores in Europe as an alternative to credit cards. Paypal on the other hand is not usually an accepted method for any real store so I would be concerned by stores that offer it. You cant pay at Dixons by paypal so why would you make payment to a genuine foreign company in that way. I would be more worried by a request to pay by paypal than by bank transfer as I would automatically assume that it was an ebay based or scam company.
Its my experience that some people worry about bank transfers because they are frightened that giving those details leaves them open to fraud. I was trying to explain that they neednt be anymore concerned about it than writing a cheque. That was all I said.
You and the other bloke have chosen to take soundbites from my original post and use them to promote your childish schoolboy arguments. Read the thread in context and strip away your pedantism and you will understand. If you dont then I give up and you can go and annoy someone else as youve already taken up far too much of my time.:wall:You killed me scooter!!0 -

Well done !!
You might have paid over the RRP, but you will have one.
No more stress, no more hunting in vain, no wasted time day after day looking, no worrying about payment methods.
Best of all you know that you have one for that special occassion.
In my view, well worth the premium.0 -
Regarding the whole payments thing, only 2 truly safe ways:
Buy from a recognised UK seller e.g. Amazon
Buy from E-Bay or advert and pay cash on delivery/collection
Anything else and you are exposed to an element of risk, big or small.0 -
Stan you're making yourself a hypocrite now.0
