u are absolutely correct. :T

paying by credit card is the safest way to buy online, because if u dont get the goods credit card company will charge back. fact.gif

i havent read all the posts so dont know if this has been posted, is 100% feedback seller, if people pay by paypal with transfer of existing paypal funds or funds from bank account they are at paypals whim if goods dont arrive, if paypal is funded by credit card then if goods dont arrive, credit card company will charge back.

quite possible, if someone pays by paypal totally funded by their credit card then they are 100% totally protected.

paypal are being crafty they are encouraging people to register their bank account details, and then using bank account as default funding option. ( no protection)

    Eligible transactions

you paid with a credit card (either directly to the seller or through an online payment service other than PayPal) you must have already contacted your credit card issuer and sought reimbursement from the issuer prior to filing a claim.

Bank transfer is safe. In the same way that chip and pin, cheques, paypal, moneybookers are i.e not 100% safe. If a scammer wants your money then there are always ways to get it. Yes credit card is the safest method but as Ive stated far too many times today that wasnt the original point made. The op was talking about payment by paypal or bank transfer I advised him that he shouldnt be too concerned about bank transfer which in my opinion is fair comment. Although admittedly maybe "completely safe" was a bad choice of words.

Please read both posts in thier original context below before you post anymore argumentative rubbish. It was a genuine reply to a thread that you have twisted all out of proportion as you are not man enough to back down and HAVE to have the last word. Well you can have it now because I wont be replying to you anymore. !!!!!!.

its u thats talking rubbish fact.giffact.giffact.gifbank transfer is as safe as sending cash through the post. fact.giffact.giffact.gif

To anyone who ordered from Argos on Friday night expecting their delivery tomorrow and still waiting for their confirmation email: BAD NEWS!!

I was in the same boat, i ordered on Friday night and wanted to double check with them as they had not debited any money from my account and had not received any confirmation order email. The lady asked for my post code and it came up with no order information and then used my card number and said no order had come up with that card and my account would not be debited.

I was sure when i ordered it, it went through, it asked me to confirm the amount for just under £250 in which i did. The lady put me on hold and then confirmed that their system should of never have let people order any wiis as they had none in stock and their was a glitch in their system. Sorry people.

    I sent you a pm.
