  • There are a crazy number of wii's ending in the next couple of hours on ebay. In the next hour alone somewhere in the region of about 500+ due to end.

It may be a time to get it as near to the rrp as possible. Especially around 7.30pm when there seems to have been 20 odd scheduled to start at the same time and you may be able to pick one off cheaply.

Would you rather give someone on ebay £20 over the odds or shell out £375 to Dixons on a package that you don't want any of the games on and will be lucky to make £100 selling them on ebay making the console £275!?!?

don't count your chickens yet. They can reserve the money which reduces you available balance, but never actually take the money (it then lapses in a few days I believe).

oh yeah i know that but after looking back at other peoples posts regarding argos and fridays frenzy none of the others have had money taken.

fingers crossed im one of the lucky ones
if not ill just hunt around for another one

  • I ordered mine on Friday night - so I guess that means that it is a no-goer? Perhaps we should ring and ask for compensation!!

It is best to ring up first thing tomorrow to the online sales help desk and ask them, i was fuming when i found out as i was 110% sure that it went through but the lady at customer services said that there was no money debited because of the glitch in the system and there were no wiis available. Not very helpful but i do not think there was a lot she could do to be honest.

I think you are one of the lucky ones, as far as i am aware all Argos orders in the morning are correct and many people have already received their wiis yesterday and many tomorrow.

I ordered one wii console package just after 8.30am on Friday morning from Argos for a friend, and got the confirmation email within minutes. My friend actually managed to get what she wanted over the weekend, because she really did not want the mega pack, only the console and games. Should mine arrive tomorrow, which I expect it will, I will be rejecting it, and therefore Argos will have one more to sell.

The games are Zelda and Warioware - Smartmoves.
If you did not want them, i would sell them on ebay or trade them in game for a game of your choice ready for fun on christmas day.
