Rain has cleared here and the sun is trying to break through. I hope it turns out a nice day for the start of the festival (Edinburgh). I know someone on the daily is coming up on Saturday so hope the weather stays nice for your week.

We're coming up for the fringe and tattoo on Saturday and staying in Musselburgh for a week so am hoping for great weather too. Rain has cleared in coastal Geordieland so am hopeful.
I do hope those with heavy rain have avoided being flooded out.
We're definite kissers - been married 12 years this week. My DS 11 is suitably disgusted and says 'eeeurgh, stop making out', and 'get a room' which only makes us worse!0 -

Oh you guys set me back on the straight and narrow.
My DD has been wonderful this morning and taken DS3 to the dentist. Now she hates the dentist and practically phobic but she did it anyway. More and more I realise what a lovely woman she is turning into and we have not always had the easiest of relationships. See the blessings xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Like Hester I'm a bit disturbed by how fast BB is translating.. I have come across a lot of text speak on the site before but this sounds like pidgin English. The guy says he is white and english so can only assume its an intelligence thing in which case I'm stunned he managed to read my profile - unless of course someone read it to him.I mean indrestit.. even if spelling is not someones forte when you say the word interested for one example does it sound like it has a d in the middle??or gan for can?? and dok for talk??

Thanks Jackie, I was too busy flapping to remember that I have a carpet cleanerand DD1 has a vax so between them I should be able to sort it. I've opened the doors as the sun has come out, must keep an eye on the weather as there a some clouds looming. DGD keeps distracting me with hugs and giggles.

Afternoon ladies, haven't posted for ages:o have been plowing through a huge fibro flair up. Haven't read everyday so feel a tad out of the loop IYKWIM Anyhow, huge hugs for all.
Its been peeing down all day:mad: but is still really heady and warm , I hate it when its like this makes me feel really sluggish and unwell.Dd has been on holiday to Cornwall with one of her friends from school, came home with a massive bag of washing but a lovely tan and a huge smile on her face. She really enjoyed herself, she is uploading the photos at the mo. Ds 1 and 2 are off to Spain on Mon with a huge group of friends before they all go off to do their own things , its beginning to sink in now that Ds2 will be off to uni in Sept it will feel really strange being one down.
Have to order the school uniforms over the weekend. Then off to get Ds4 and DD school shoes and pe trainers and Dd has to get a new pair of hockey boots. I was hoping that I could get away with DD uniform as it has only been worn for a term and a bit but I am pleased to say she is now back upto a size 10 :j:j..
Dinner tonight is Shepherds pie with green beans and carrots .Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Afternoon all
PipneyJane - welcome and happy birthday x
BB - gosh you are good at translating! i work with teens so am good with text speak but some of those stumped me!
I have such a banging headachehad it all day. It's a tension headache though not a sinus one so should clear eventually. This afternoon was a struggle in work as work kids were writing their CVs so I had 10 of them all shouting for my attention at once whilst they were using laptops, and they didn't seem to want to use their 'inside voices' :rotfl::rotfl: but we had a good day over all.
I'm so not in the mood to pack stuff but need to do it. Will chill for half hour and then do a bit before stopping for tea.
OS wise - WM is on, will have to dry indoors though. DW needs emptying. Tea is LO's from Tues.
Have a good evening all
