I love gingers - marrying one in about 7 weeks :D

    Often fiery characters.

Make sure you have extinguishers handy :D.

    Congratulations, BTW.
30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.

    Richard I without a doubt.

Aren't we confusing 'richer' and 'quality of life'?

    Seems like it.

And I don't think we've got a grasp on the concept of "comparative quality of life".

In that compared to his contemporaries Richard was indeed much better off.

Naturally, this thread is a bit of a response to the often heard boomers defence that its ok to have strip mined the UKs socio-political assets because kids today all have mobile phones and I-pods. :rotfl:

Last I checked, boomers had access to current technology too.

I bet he had more mistresses though... But then again he was more likely to get syphilis!

    He was probably gay.

I don't know about Richard I but I think I could possibly challenge Richard III; if I give up the horses can I have the EU?
