a lot of the posts on this thread made me spit my coffee onto my keyboard, I giggled so much.

To the op; good for you, you showed your honesty by being open and asking about the vouchers. We're not to know what can and can't be accepted by shops when we are customers and not staff!
if one person can use a hundred pounds of vouchers, then that's offset by many hundreds that either don't claim these vouchers to use or forget about them until well past the expiry date (me! doh).
if it is not on lettter headed paper, then it isn't official, regadless of a handwritten envelope or not, as the others have already advise.
I think it's pretty disgusting that someone's nose is so out of joint that you had something nice happen to you via their mistake, that they want to upset you.
If it was me, I'd want to know more about how they were able to access my personal details than having to worry about possibly paying them back.
I found the information/advice about contractual agrements etc. when purchasing and all that, extremely encouraging and informative. you could always write to tescos (plc not limited surely!) via citizens advice bureau maybe? good luck and stop worrying, get annoyed! and stand your ground.

My cats have slept all day today - one in a child carseat in the garage the other on the sofa - they never worry about Tesco's as the catfood offers are never that great there!

I agree with some of the other posts in so much as it was well OTT - does spoil it for others - if you get a tenner off your bill you should be well pleased - I know I am.
