This is Tesco coupon policy. If you write to them or email them, this is the reply you get:-
Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that these actual products will be purchased.
With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept one, even if you have not purchased the product. The coupon must be in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.
This also applies to coupons printed from the Internet. These will only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.0 -
I have been told that in some stores there are actually CCTV cameras at the tills - so ........................

I am absolutely CERTAIN that there are CCTV cameras at the tills as they pounced on me when the cashier was scanning the coupons!0 -
I was told this by a tesco employee so I know in the one store it is definitely true, however, it is not the case in every store.
It is not only to check up on the buying public but also staff who allegedly sell clubcard vouchers on ebay that they should have put in their tills.

Tesco is the one that is Greedy. If their till operator or EPOS system allowed the OP to use vouchers to such a degree who's fault is it?
here here and Dont forget the Suppliers and especially the farmers who are squezzed to the core
I say lets join forces spend as many Somerfield vouchers as possible as make TESCO's bankrupt before they gain 50% market share, kill off all competition
and force us to pay higher prices in the longterm!!!!!!

WELSH-DRAGON wrote:Well I cut out the £2.60 Harpers vouchers and the £1.00 inside out vouchers from all my office papers in the last week or so (so all free to me) and I have such a huge bundle and with short expiry dates I was keen to use as many as possible.
I used 2 toiletry healthcare vouchers - buying 2 nivea shower gels, some kitty food and a newspaper and spent less than 50p each time because I handed over 1 x £2.60 harpers voucher.

Hi Welshy, do you mind if I ask where do I get the £2.60 Harpers vouchers from, or have I missed out again, thanks in advance

Hiya kellywelly they have been in the Times newspaper priced 65p in the last few days together with a £1 voucher off inside out = £3.60 in vouchers in each paper - so a nice profit as long as they are accepted.
Best advice checkout the daily newspaper thread as it tells you on there what papers to get etc
