I phoned and she said that the certificate was the equivalent to a HNC/HND and that it would be posted to me some time in the coming months. I wonder how long it takes to get the certificate here and what it looks like. I'm like a child waiting on Christmas!! :j

University Certificates look nicer than Exam board ones. Exam board have wacky designs so they can not be copied that easily. I would guess that OU Certs. are equal to a HNC rather than HND.

The OU diploma will be equal to the HND. But then some OU Diplomas have Post graduate modules in them, so it is not really that clear cut.

    BTW, Well done!

I had a letter from the OU today telling me that I had enough points for a particular certificate and enclosed an academic transcript. They also asked to correct any spelling mistakes on my name ready forthe certificate that they will prepare for me and forward on - but there is no time scale on the letter as to when this will be.

I was also dead excited this morning when I read it - actually getting a certificate!

I thought I should update this in case anyone else is waiting on their certificate!

No, I put it away with all the rest of my certificates. I only remembered about it when I received 2 certificates on Saturday from passing SAGE. I have to laugh at myself if I hadn't got it I would be nagging but now I have it I have forgot about it. :o

Go on put it pride of place.

So when you get your full degree, can you use all the post nominal letter, so for example:

    Jo4 Cert X, Dip X, BA?

I have letters now and you are supposed to be able to use the certificate letters, the diploma letters and the full degree letters. Now I am supposed to be Jo4 Cert Comp Math (Open).

    HTH!
