  • Have squirreled away £7.02/£419.80 towards my next debt so far - my current account with Lloyds has a 'save the change' option, which rounds up debit card purchases and puts the extra into a savings account. Mounts up quite quickly!

Got 2 stars with Lionbridge today - so they'll probably be letting me go. :( Not a surprise as I've not had the time and energy to give it the work it needs, but still a bit of a blow towards earning a few extra pennies. I think I will switch my focus to comping instead which I find more fun. :D:D

I agree with the Mid December start date. I'd love to keep going before Christmas with this challenge, and agree that starting spring with another debt cleared would rock. :)

Personally, I'd prefer to start the new challenge as soon as this one finishes. Obviously we will neded to be realistic about how much we can afford to pay off, as spending always goes up during the festivities, but setting a realistic target is the whole point of this challenge for me.

Without it, I fear I may overspend at Christmas and undo all the good work of the past few months.

How about an interim, "Pay a debt in 50 days" challenge" or something which could run from 24 November to 12 January if my maths is right, or a "Pay a debt by New Year". This would allow those who want to spend more freely over Christmas to opt out, but start afresh in early January.

At the end of the day, Amara if you are willing to co-ordinate again, then you should choose whatever is easiest for you to manage.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

  • Love all your idea's KARB.
I could work on the last 100 pounds to the water board if we did the mini one between now and then.
