    Make 2019 in 2019: £1350/2019
  • Hi. £35 for me today so now £110/£500.

I sold some old gold today and got £280 cash for it. It wasn't actually that much so I was really pleased to get it. Well worth looking in to if you have any old tatty gold lying in drawers. You can get more money online than in a shop but I have been burned in paypal before so I went to a shop and got it in my sweaty paws.:D. Paid it my overdraft rather than this challenge as it is higher costs for me.
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

Good Luck! I am the opposite and have to wait until the end of the month to make a bigger dent in mine- any money left over is being paid off in full!

Thats the way to do it. All we can do is keep chipping away at our debts and we will all get there in time.

  • Hi All

Bit of a late comer here and also a newbie. Can I please join, i know have less than the 100 days but I shall put all my efforts into to making up for lost time.

So I have a few things I want pay off, 500 to my mom, 100 is need in the a/c by the end of the month and I would like my cc to be under 3000, so can you put me down for £1000 in 100 days (well 84 ish).

Can I also start by paying £118.50 split between all of these today, so that leaves me with £881.50 :D That will do for a start.

    Thanks

Hey All! Hope you're all well.

I did mean to put in £100 as I have only paid 6mths car tax this month. (I'd promised myself I'd pay 12mths THIS time - as it hasn't happened yet!! However, I had been taking the cash out over a period of time so that it wouldn't sting me the way it does each and EVERY year, by saving I actually had choice with what to do with my money! That hasn't happened EVER either ...:rotfl:... I'm so loving MSE, I feel so in control of my own life and free to make choices :D ... again which has NEVER happened before!!

Anyway, a friend gave me 2 free tickets to see a show, so I took my £100 (car tax money :o) and after train fares, lunch, dinner, buying DD3 a fabulous birthday present from a little side-street shop, cookies, a program from the show, I still had £34 left!? It's official. I have been body-snatched! I don't recognise myself anymore, but I'm loving the new MSE-me :D! (And I can't tell how impresses OH is either ;)!) I had the most (unexpected but) wonderful day out yesterday with my Mum (hadn't done that in over a decade :o !!) and we're gonna schedule some more really fab days out, in fact we've just booked up 2 free tickets for the 'Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model' Live Show in October via Martin's MSE Newletter ;) this morning, Cheers Martin . Eagerly waiting 2for1 tickets on the Catwalk Show ;).

After going out for the day I was more than upset to find out that OH had 'treated' himself and the children by blowing £53 of my £100 weekly food shopping budget on frozen pizza and gateaux (one for each of them!!) He could have ordered takeaway pizza for that price! Plus I've been (stuck :o) with the children for the entire 6 week summer holidays, I am I not allowed one day off? Clearly not!! Anyway, he managed to save his own bacon ( just ) when he informed me that he had received a £500 bonus from work and was putting it all in the cc pot! WOW! This pot really has taken on a life of it's own and I'm so grateful for all of the unexpected pennies that have magically found it's way into my cc pot :D. (+ £3 from DD2's althetics due to pizza and gateaux!)

Drum Roll please ... :rotfl:... (well, it was the best roll I could find ;)) my cc pot has now reached the giddy heights of :j £1901 :j.
Love to all and keep up the good work, I'm off to paint the Landing and DD3's bedroom with the ton of paint, paintbrushes rollers and trays that I have in my garage (wish me luck ;), last time we painted DD3 dipped her arms into the paint - up to her elbow then proclaimed she was like the tribes people she had seen on TV - then she picked up the paintbrush and proceeded to paint!) It's never dull in my house ...
