Hi everyone, and well done with all of the payments! Amara, hope your OH is feeling better soon. I'd like to add £46 of Ebay sales, so that takes me to £198 / £700.:j
Mammy to 3 gorgeous children. :)
  • Another £5 for me so that's £75 / £500 :D. I'll pay £30 tomorrow when child benefit comes in and that will keep me to plan of paying £5 per day to reach my total.
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

Hey All and welcome to the newcomers to this glorious thread,

Hey Frodo, Quote:"Not paid anything into this challenge for a while as my finances are up the wall at the moment.

We were due to exchange contracts on our new mortgage yesterday but it has been postponed until Tuesday. We had 2 mortgages and we have remortgaged to put them together. This is going to save us about £350 a month, very MSE friendly.:D

Until it goes through not sure how much will be left after solicitor and broker fees. I did think we might get a free month as 2 paid off and new one not due until 1st Oct. Not to be as they are wanting a payment mid september as well. :( Still I will have at least £350 to put off challenge plus whatever I can spare from wages on Tuesday."

Don't worry hun, you'll get there. As long as you keep checking in to say Hi and keep your MSE hat on ;) you'll get there. Re-mortgaging takes forever, I feel for you, but as you say you'll be sooooo much better off :). Ours took 3 months to iron out all of the problems and that was meant to be a straight swap, lol! No wonder the economy's in the state it's in with these people in charge!

Well done to everyone making payments, I've got £20 left over from the £100 we took out for the M-I-L's birthday party dinner :T. So I'm now up to £1363/£6769 :D , it's getting there little by little, I just hope that I can keep the momentum going when I return to work next week and try not to fall back into the coma of exhaustion! :o -x-

Thanx for your positive thoughts, I cant believe how complicated they make these remortgages. All we were doing was putting both mortgages together, we are not even moving house, and has cost us £1500 in solicitor, broker and valuation fees.

Will pay for itself with in a few months though.

    Frodo x.

Hi Amara really sorry to hear about your husband, I do hope that things improve soon x

If it isn't too late I would really like to join the challenge. I have an £1800 loan outstanding, borrowed from my dad, and I would really like to make a push to get it repaid. It has been hanging around for a while as there is no pressure to repay, and this challenge would be just the focus and encouragement I need to get it sorted. Thanks

i'm still lurking but you's have all really give me inspiration and the kick up the b/side that i needed.
I to owed my dad £200.00 which i hadn't rushed to pay as there was no pressure but i had a lot of overtime in my last wage so instead of putting it of and paying a lump sum of somthing else or blowing it ,i lifted it out of bank straight awy and paid him, so that is one of my list and feel so much better for it.
so just want to say thank you everyone and you amara :A this is a great thread so glad i found it.
sorry to hear you'r dh is not well hope he is feeling better soon.
    :)£5 a day challenge april £338 /£150
