Hi Amara really sorry to hear about your husband, I do hope that things improve soon x

If it isn't too late I would really like to join the challenge. I have an £1800 loan outstanding, borrowed from my dad, and I would really like to make a push to get it repaid. It has been hanging around for a while as there is no pressure to repay, and this challenge would be just the focus and encouragement I need to get it sorted. Thanks

    Hi guys!
My poor darling husband is bad. Doctor gave him morphine tablets which make him sick. I want him to go to therapist, £30 per session :( Not very moneysaving, but his health is most important. £1 from me. I still need to show example, that you can paying your debts despite unlucky events.

Poor Amara, I hope things improve for you and your husband soon.
The doctor can give him anti-emetics to stop the morphine making him feel sick.

    Hope he feels better soon.

  • Not paid anything into this challenge for a while as my finances are up the wall at the moment.

We were due to exchange contracts on our new mortgage yesterday but it has been postponed until Tuesday. We had 2 mortgages and we have remortgaged to put them together. This is going to save us about £350 a month, very MSE friendly.:D

Until it goes through not sure how much will be left after solicitor and broker fees. I did think we might get a free month as 2 paid off and new one not due until 1st Oct. Not to be as they are wanting a payment mid september as well. :( Still I will have at least £350 to put off challenge plus whatever I can spare from wages on Tuesday.

Everyone is doing fab, so motivating reading everyones progress. :j

  • Hi

please can I join? I really enjoyed the last challenge and would love to pay off what I didn't quite manage last time. I know I'm a bit late but I have been on holiday (yay). So my balance is 1,982.65. I am able to pay a big chunk of this off in one go but my blinking card reader is broken and they are being really slow at sending out a new one. I know I did have another one so my challenge for this morning is to find the other one. And I've got two things to put on ebay.

    Have a nice day.
  • Hi everyone

Finally made a start thanks to payday.

671.54 paid off various £4491.10 left.

Have a good Bank Holiday weekend.

Hey All and welcome to the newcomers to this glorious thread,

Hey Frodo, Quote:"Not paid anything into this challenge for a while as my finances are up the wall at the moment.

Don't worry hun, you'll get there. As long as you keep checking in to say Hi and keep your MSE hat on ;) you'll get there. Re-mortgaging takes forever, I feel for you, but as you say you'll be sooooo much better off :). Ours took 3 months to iron out all of the problems and that was meant to be a straight swap, lol! No wonder the economy's in the state it's in with these people in charge!

Well done to everyone making payments, I've got £20 left over from the £100 we took out for the M-I-L's birthday party dinner :T. So I'm now up to £1363/£6769 :D , it's getting there little by little, I just hope that I can keep the momentum going when I return to work next week and try not to fall back into the coma of exhaustion! :o -x-
