I'm still not getting your point. Most of these posts are regarding outside of the EU usage.
I've been following this thread with interest. Now iPhones data roaming switch is set to off by default with a warning message about incurring costs before you switch it on. With Android devices, when you tick the data roaming box, a message pops up with "Allow data roaming? You may incur significant costs.", I believe this is also un ticked by default. So how can anyone with these devices claim they weren't forewarned?Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0 -
Indeed. If I read up on the phone, check the website and do what I am told to do and still get a bill then it is the mobile phone networks fault.
If I am too stupid/lazy/bone idle to read the phone manual, check what the costs are on the website and do what is needed to do to ensure I don't use what I don't want to then it is entirely my fault, all of it. However, in addition to wanting the telcos to lock down everything so the stupid can't get themselves into trouble, these halfwits are wanting everyone else to pay for their incompetency as pay the rest of us will. Orange will have to pay the Turkish Telco what they are charged for the data and it will cost money to implement the changes these halfwits want and that cost will get passed on to the rest of us.
Goodness! I think someone needs help with aggression issues, Hammyman! As other postees have said, not everyone is computer/phone savvy and as there's no financial imperative on the part of the mobile phone company to help them out (yes, yes, I know it's in the bloody booklet) - indeed, far easier to exploit it - ridiculous bills like this will continue to be issued. They make enough money, and if they've got any sense they will start to implement what an earlier postee called a 'duty of care' towards their customers before they start marching with their feet.0 -

It's been said several times, but you're obviously not getting it, so I'll put it in big red letters so it's easy for you to understand

TURKEY IS NOT IN THE EU
That's my point, Dave.
But it is even more complicated - it is not every European country, not even every EU country (need to double check) and also some countries not in the EU. Some French and Spanish "colonies" such as the Canaries and Martinique are covered, but the Channel Islands - obviously part of Europe - are not !0 -

U MAD? (or “You Mad?”) is a popular catchphrase used by netizens in discussion forums and comment threads to imply that someone (usually the previous poster) is losing temper during the course of an argument.
It’s a form of debate tactic that casually dismisses someone’s counterargument, thus further feeding the rage fuel upon the recieving end. Due to the incendiary nature of the phrase, it is also considered a form of trolling.
Not sure if UGEOGRAPHICALLYCHALLENGED is a net phrase, but if it is, then I think it might apply to you. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

See MissKeiths prior post.
All phones tend to come with data roaming off by default (although some may) and warn you when you turn it on. There are warning people do not heed.0 -
