  • Many thanks for that Barneydog.

1 final question; After doing some fishing round the digital spy forums, it seems as though if a DVD recorder has RGB input, you get a better quality picture. Does anyone know if this comes with RGB input?

Don't know, it may have if the scart plugs are fully wired which is not always the case. to be honest you don't really need it for recording off sky or TV as the broadcast quality is poor compared to DVD Eec where RGB does show a picture improvement.

  • Don't know if this helps anyone, but I've bought the Bush DVD recorder in Superdrug, Doncaster, Frenchgate Store this morning. There are 4 left and you have to ask staff as they are not on display.

Thanks OP. I got one today in Ilford (the central store, not the one in Cranbrook Road). They were behind the counter and I saw one more left - unpriced and when I asked I was told they were £79.99. Scanned at £39.99.

    This was the 3004 model.
  • Having a few probs setting it up,the instructions are easy and all went well, its just on the sky channel (ie the one most would record on )faint background lines which are very annoying ! I've tried changing scarts fine tuning etc.sky is fine on its own channel so its obviously something via the dvd recorder.anyone any ideas please?

Caled both Homebase stores in Leicester and Market Harborough to see if they had the Goodmans one in stock, but they said they didn't. Leicester store was really off, well can't you come down to the store as we are very busy with 10% day!
