  • Has anyone actually succeeded in making this region-free yet?
  • There's nothing online saying how to region-free it.. i've emailed Alba (who make bush electricals) asking.. but somehow i don't think i'll get a reply
  • I've googled extensively and not found a hack for it.

I've tried every free site I know or can find no luck for the DVR3004.

Has anyone tried the other bush DVD recorder hacks, not just the one I posted
    for the 3000/3003

  • I just got one from Superdrug in Hyde. They had another one left one the top shelf on the right near the entrance - this one was a DVR3003E (or something).
    "Whatever happened to string?"
  • Please note that this recorder will NOT record on DVD-R and DVD-RW.

To quote from the quick reference guide:

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    - Only purchase DVD+R or DVD+RW discs to record on.

    - Do not use DVD-R and DVD-RW discs as these will NOT be recognized by this player.

    - Discs previously recorded on PC's will not be recognized by this player.

    - DVD-R and DVD-RW pre-recorded discs may be played back on this player.

Mine's going back tomorrow so Watford Superdrug should have one around mid-morning.

  • You can use the recorder as the source player or as the recording deck to record from another DVD player, VCR, Camcorder etc. using the S-video/Video/component and Audio inputs.

If you mean the Bush DVD3004 - my box clearly states on the front, amongst other things - DVD-R

I have not even unpacked it yet though...
