Disappointed with buyer's honesty

Just before Christmas I had a buyer ask if I could despatch their item before I received their payment as they needed it urgently. They said they had good feedback and would put a cheque in the post immediately.
I made a special trip to the Post Office and am so very disappointed that they haven't sent me payment as promised. I've asked if they're received the item but have had no reply.

oh dear
It may just be the xmas post still but I have to say no matter what the feedback I don't send out items before i have received the payment, I'll send it a couple of days before cheque clears sometimes but not until i actually get the cheque:o
all you can do is email them once more, tell them you are worried payment hasn't arrived and that if they don't respond to you before say midday tomorrow you will start a non paying bidder alert......hope you sort it out and the cheque turns up:oMy first ever Ebay Challenge. Yes I have been stung by this before! try pulling her details? get her phone number or find it on bt.com from her address, or send her a letter demanding payment, If none of this happens then just leave neg feedback saying deceitfully stole item from me....or something nasty like that!!!

OMG I was just going to post a thread on exactly the same thing:mad:rose_sparky wrote:Just before Christmas I had a buyer ask if I could despatch their item before I received their payment as they needed it urgently. They said they had good feedback and would put a cheque in the post immediately.

I sent her it because her little one was going for a fancy dress party and so needed it before xmas etc, she even emailed and thanked me for doing it on trust and would post payment immediately etc and today just got back from work the 2nd of Jan 2007 -NOTHING no payment no email nothing.
Makes you wonder what is the point?
Nothing at all I am so upset that she seemed so nice etc and this is the let down you get so cruelxxxx0 -
" the cheque's in the post".........
Now , where have I heard that one before?
Fingers crossed it works out for you, although it looks a bit bleak. :-(
It's a shame that someone as decent and trustworthy as yourself gets caught out because you're a genuine and thoughful person.
Hopefully there's not too much involved cash wise and it may yet turn up.
Did you check out the buyer's feedback etc?
If the money doesn't turn up...pursue it via eBay, you've completed your side of the deal.
Good luck.

Send a recorded delivery letter to her giving her 14 days to make payment or you will begin small claims court proceedings to claim back your money which will incur further costs to her..
Small claims court is easy to do and you will win with something as straight forward as this and she will have to pay costs.0 -
Thanks for your replies, it's not a bankrupting figure but nevertheless it's a piece of my much needed pin money.
I'm feeling very disillusioned with it all at the moment. Apart from this non-paying buyer I have about six other non-payers from the Christmas period. It's ok saying leave negative feedback but if they ALL retaliate that makes me look awful.0 -
but if you send a non paying bidder dispute thing and they don't respond, they're unable to leave you neg feedbackrose_sparky wrote:Thanks for your replies, it's not a bankrupting figure but nevertheless it's a piece of my much needed pin money.

or if they do it doesn't show as a neg on your score and ebay puts a line under it saying "did not reposnd to non paying bidder report"

I feel sorry for the OP in that they may lose money. However, what did they expect???????? There is nowt as queer as folk"Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington
