It won't let me post the log from hijack this as it won't let me copy and paste it.
When I've done it, it shows the log, then theres tons of lines and it won't let me copy to show it you.
I've tried finding a select all button, but nothing there. I've tried clicking on the first line and then pressing shift or control to highlight it to the bottom, but it won't.
It has little square boxes at the beginning of each line as though you have to click them, but that seems to be for deleting the entries.
I'm not sure what else to do. I've asked my hubbie and he is puzzled how to copy the log too.

You need to be right clicking the HijackThis icon to run it and choosing "Run as administrator" to avoid the hosts file error, and then choose "Do a system scan and save a log file"

The log should open in notepad automatically when finished.

Just deleted hi jack this as it doesn't seem to be installing properly. I installed it again and now it is saying,
    HijackThis
For some reason your system denied write access to the Hosts file. If any hijacked domains are in this file, HijackThis may NOT be able to fix this.

If that happens, you need to edit the file yourself. To do this, click Start, Run and type:

    notepad C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

and press Enter. Find the line(s) HijackThis reports and delete them. Save the file as 'hosts.' (with quotes), and reboot.

For Vista: simply, exit HijackThis, right click on the HijackThis icon, choose 'Run as administrator'.
    OK

download this, save to your desktop

    http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/hijackthis/HijackThis.exe

scan and save log, then copy and paste into a new thread.

    ie
    scan
click save log, save to a file
control A - to select all
control C - to copy to clipboard

control V to paste into thread.

(if you have a problem running hijackthis on vista/W7,
right click on hijackthis.exe and run as admin, if that doesn't work, try again holding down the shift key and run as admin)

is this browser redirection happening in internet explorer as well as firefox, and where is it redirecting to?

    the tdsskiller scan found nothing?
