  • MG - Personally, I don't think it matters if the challenges are here or there or both even.

I've noticed a couple of people want log ins, is Mr F about - he doesn't log in here very often xx

My personal challenge for the day - what can I actually do! Have managed to clean the kitchen, floor badly needed sweeping but knew I wouldn't be able to sweep the bits into dustpan. Hoover it:jHow do I get cord out of hoover? Put it on a chair. Success!
Bit of a rest now and then I'll try to work out how to get the washing out and onto the line.
It's made me really think about people who have disabilities all the time, we bend so much.

We have gadgets (long handled brush and dustpan which doubles up for picking up heavier items such baked bean tins when dropped or putting the dog's water bowl on the floor etc, "helping hand" or grabber as I call it which is great for picking up smaller things off the floor) and also like you we become very resourceful.

Barbecue tongs might be helpful in getting washing out of the machine (I use my grabber or long handled shoe horn), then put the washing basket on a stool when putting things on the line (although I cheat here and use the drier as it saves my energy and I'm not great at reaching up). Also we think very carefully about the layout of the home and which shelf to put things on in cupboards. There's usually a way!

And when you drop a bowlful of stirfry and pasta on the floor, it's phone a friend time!

That was exactly what I did! I'd thought it through like a military operation:eek:I also took BBQ tongs out with me as I knew I wouldn't be able to reach the bits in the bottom of the basket.:rotfl:

Happy new thread! Until I can get faster access, I can't retrieve my password to the other side. I stupidly cleared all my cookies in a fit of uncluttering. :(
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Ooooohhhh - new thread - I might manage to keep up for all of 1 day :p

Fantasia - still thinking of you - take care

Lara - 5 days till the wedding - you must be soooo excited

Scaredy-cat - best of luck with the application

And me - Am away to brave the fridge (1st declutter) - I have sauces & jars galore - at least when I go the bottle bank clinking with them I can feel so self-righteous as there are more than wine bottles for a change :D

Have been sawing up wood & DH has been chainsawing & axing logs - free winter supply of fuel & free exercise in to the bargain - and works toward de-cluttering of the kennel for my sins...

    Will catch up later folks
