You could ask your question over on the ebay board, but it's customary to ask about combining postage before bidding. I would make sure though, that if they charge you all the individual postage rates, that you get them sent individually and not in one big parcel as that's taking the mick (if they do this make sure you mark low for postage costs)! It sounds like the seller is trying to avoid higher fees by making the postage high when there's a low starting price. Ebay frowns upon this. Hopefully you can come to some agreement with the seller.

I've asked him to reduce the postage costs and told him it is against Ebay rules to charge excess postage.
If the seller doesn't do you think I can refuse to pay??
just had this email back.
hI I HAVE TOLD YOU THAT I DO NOT GIVE POSTAGE DISCOUNTS BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION ,{YOU SAID OK !!},ALSO YOU KNEW HOW MUCH THE POSTAGE WAS BEFORE YOU BIDDED, yOU DID NOT ASK ME PRIOR THE END OF THE AUCTION ??..i DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW .iF YOU WANT TO CANCEL PLEASE LET ME KNOW ..GOOD EVENING.
Yrs I know I said ok, but anyone in their right minds knows that this is excessive and would take some postage off or is it me?? I copied and pasted they email, am very tempted to email him back and ask him/her politely not to shout at meBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Just had another email from the seller
HI You knew the cost before you started bidding ...I ALSO TOLD YOU BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDED ..YOU never got in touch with me !! thanks
Is it me or is there an attitude here??
I'm bidding on a few more of his items tooBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Definately attitude, can you raise the issue with eBay WITHOUT opening a dispute? Think seller is taking the !!!! not combining postage for 1p sales, sounds like a massive mark up to me to compensate for ridiculously low starting price. How heavy are these stamps for a start!!
Jus trying to settle DS off to sleep, write some more for his DLA form and bloomin killer cat has plonked herself on my lap as I sit here on the bean bag in his room. There is a whole bed including a small child she could sit on but no it has to be my lap!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Well I sent a knitting machine through the post for half the price the seller wanted for the stamps!! and there is no way the stamps are as heavy as a knitting machine!!
Anyway I told thew sxeller this and had another snooty emailback
Hi This is not excess postage i am clearly way under the limit ,i have checked many other stamps on ebay before listing, which are more them my postage price THIS NOT EXCESS !! You knew the postage price prior the bid ..as you have purchased 25 items For total postage price of £19.52 .You did not contact me with any query about these items or postage ..good evening
So I told him I wasn't not willing to pay postage but just not that much when a knitting machine only costs half that to post!! and to cancel the purcases and the bids I had with him as I didn't like his attitude.
So instead of giving me less postage he lost a sale. He has cancelled all transactions so he wasn't going to budge on postage.
I feel horrible not paying now and messing someone about, but its the principle. some of you might think I'm wrong thoughBoiler pot £30.92/£10000
