Congratulations Bitsy on making the decision and being up for the challenge. Sounds like the right thing for you, you had been sounding a bit down the past wee while, so well done.
Well done MG on the insulation job, I don't know how you do it, but it inspires me to get on with things so thank you.
I'd love a cuppa right now, but frogs to eat and all that! Off to declutter the rest of my clothes for the charity shop, measure up for flooring and checking that the bargainous sliding door wardrobes I bought on ebay are going to fit where I want them!Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Good morning,
I have a coldmy nose is like a flaming tap
never mind, got to get on with it
just sorted out the last load of washing so hopefully there won't be anymore till the weekend with school/work uniforms
Got the last Gammon joint in the slow cooker I bought a few weeks ago, its huge so I'm hoping to get 2 meals and a soup out of it, I've got pastry in the freezer so was thinking of a pie of some sort?
Now all the meat has gone I bought, next week when I get paid need to get looking for bargains again, Dh did a £40 store cupboard shop last night so the store cupboard is full again, there's still quite a bit in the freezer apart from no meat joints for Sunday lunch, but there are pork and lamb chops there they will do.
DS2 is off school, he's been up all night being illso looks like he got the stomach bug that is going around.

Well done on the noggins MG!
Sounds like a sensible decision Bitsy, well done you
Gentle list here today too. Few bits and pieces to do, but I've got a meeting at 11.30 and a training session this afternoon, so just gently fitting things around those and if I get to the end of today with a smile on my face I'll be happy0 -

Well not to sound like a total @rse kisser but if I hadn't seen what you can achieve I'd have never have thought it possible
I am wading through a DLA form, the joys, so if we do get awarded it will be a little bit more to add to the pot.
Dangers - I feel so bad letting the parents down but DS isn't coping well with having the kids here so much, stuff like him not being able to sit in "his" chair at the table, or "his" place on the sofa. Nowt I can do about his rigidity of thinking and he's been saying he doesn't want them to come. The mums and dads have been lovely and totally understand. I need DS to feel secure and reasonably happy in his own home and lately that's not just happening.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Bitsy on the DLA form be honest about what REALLY happens, think about every detail that you help with no matter how small. Once you get DLA then you can claim for carers allowance too - so that will be another bit extra.0

Gingerbread is baking - wait ten minutes and we can have a pot and slice.:D Funny but it feels like gingerbread weather.
Just found the fixings for my curtains so there's a job to do whilst I have the light.

Hi long time lurker here:o,
I have been reading about MG for months and months, I come on here most days and then go and sort out the frogs in a positive fashion, you are all amazing people and I just love it on here, all this positivity is fabulous (and yes I have purchased and read the secret) I love all the tips on make do and mend as well as all the other information that you give well done:T:T:T.
I might not have time to post every day but I will keep up with how you all are doing:).
Have a good day

carers allowance only applies if you are awarded middle rate and above so not counting my chickens on that but will apply if we got it. It's funny all the things we do on a daily basis don't seem that much as we are in a nice little routine generally but now DD is getting older it is more apparant that in a lot of ways she's far more independent and gung ho than DS is, who is 3 years older. It's hard to know what life would be like without all this as I've never known any different. School nurse asked me if DS was suffering from having late bedtimes (last night for example it was after 10pm before he went off to sleep) but can't answer her that as don't know any different LOL
Thanks for the good wishes. I know we can do this and TBH I think it will do us all a world of good, kids have far too much anyway and we don't want for anything. Time to live life more simplyI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
