I am not sure what's going on and don't really want to know, just felt I had to acknowledge how people are feeling before posting my unimportant ramblings.
I have decluttered my fridge! I prefered to think I was house trained until starting this de-cluttering lark. Now on day 3, I am having grave doubts, feel quite a mucky, messy pup.:eek:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

I don't do sushi, so I am afraid I can't help... sorry
For your chicken/noodle affair, what about Teriyaki. Lovely. Simple. Can put whatever veg you want with it as well. As an example:

hi Robsmum, I decluttered 2 kitchen drawers yesterday (then later on watched the Michael McIntyre clip on youtube about the "man drawer" and chuckled at how I have a whole house of those, lol). Well done (not meant in a patronising but a congratulatory way)
I have so much more to go, but the joy of having chucked out a bag of tut and realising that I have 7 unopened bags of icecube bags, means that I really must organise a girly cocktail party chez moi soon
(any excuse.....)
If OH is still feeling poorly tonightthen I must gird my loins and tackle the bookshelves some more.....I read very quickly and rarely go back to books unless they're fantastic, and have decided that I want space for photos/DD's artwork/my neverending collection of library books instead. 2 bags for the charity shop so far.....

I know it can look like people not wanting to help themselves, but honestly, Bitsy, there are depths and places that some people go to, that others don't, because they don't have the need to.
Can I please make a general appeal not to judge? Protect yourselves, by all means, think about and assess whats going on, naturally, but I'm getting uncomfortable with the tone here. Fantasia did *not* get this reception when she was so distressed and nothing shifted it, so recently.
I have deleted my comment from my original post. Apologies if people think I am judging or just being a b!tch. Wasn't my intention.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Whilst waiting for the iron to get hot have now just cleaned the top of the fridge. 3 beer mugs to go, can't remember when they were last used. As for the top of the fridge - I wouldn't employ me a s a housekeeper!:eek:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

*Sob* I want year end to stop. I have had enough now!!
All my nice numbers yesterday have transformed into horrible numbers today and it appears that I have made an absolutely terrible mistake somewhere along the line.
I will be in the corner rocking back and forth and weeping quietly!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
What's up Crickett?
If your year end is the same as ours, then you've still got time to sort it out!
(Just for a laugh, none of my Pd12 year end journals auto reversed into P1, so I have to do them manually)

No, I can't fix it. The forecast was too low, the actual appears to be too high... I can't see why it hasn't worked out properly and I am currently out by about £400K. Gulp. Panic, panic, panic.:eek::eek:
I think I have found my excuse though. I changed the way we accounted for staff last year and I think I made it too complicated. Oh well. Plus... my part of the college overspending means we can take down the overly healthy contributions from the other schools. So my part looks pants, but overall we look better! Or at least, that is what I am hoping for! :rotfl:"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Helllooooooooooooooo MIKE (said in the tone of Michael McIntyre greeting Wembley)!
It is so lovely to see you over here and what a beautiful post. There are several people here who need to hear that things can improve from somebody who has been in the place that they are right now. So thank you for taking that time to share your thoughts (if not sharing what exactly is in the man bag)
Sometimes in life we feel strong enough to help support others and sometimes we just dont have the energy to keep trying where negativity is the constant response and I agree that the right thing to do at that point might be to withdraw. I am currently in a similar situation (I am hiding if the truth be known) because I don't have any more to give to a certain person in RL. It is hard sometimes but the good thing about this thread and MSE in general is that there are enough people to take the baton at different times. The very fact that there are so many people means that one of us can say exactly the same thing to somebody that has been said several times but at that moment it could be the penny dropping for the other person. For this reason and this alone I would urge anybody to make up their own mind about a situation or person needing help. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
