P.S. Do I remember seeing some sort of a 'don't buy any lunches' challenge on the boards? I've been to look for it, but can't see it.
It is this one - mortgage free diaries - it is a Cha97Michelle thread - Christmas challenge or something like that.

Lovely day, been foraging (thanks Hex) collected a pudding basin of cobnuts and one of blackberries.
3 loads of washing dried on the line.
A little bit of gardening done.
Off to make pudding now and see if I can make an autumnal door reef from some of the prunnings from the crab apple tree. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Pammyj7a and Cha97Michelle are my gurus - where's the "bowing down I'm not worthy" icon??
Great ladies with fantastic sticking power and a sense of humour to match.

            Congrats Tenmah
Today has been a day of sorting out, arranging a regular payment to Amex ev.month for 12 months as part of their care programme. I visited my web geek in his new office and he has told the folks where he has offices that I am an employee (he used to be a client) so that I can visit his offices and use his computers, printers and telephone so I am not stuck permanently at home looking at the wall.
I also went shopping (this has been a big deal for me because I haven't been shopping for two months:eek:). I picked up a load of veg in the greengrocer as well as a tip for freezing cauliflower. Got some cheap meat (cheap in price but not in quality) from the butcher and got a tip from them how to cook the lamb shanks that have been languishing in the freezer - I can slow cook them on the stove top (I cannot use my oven as it has packed up). I also nipped into Tesco and used my money off coupons and stocked up from the whoopsie shelf.
I had a huge lightbulb moment earlier - I need to promote my business so that it reaches a wider audience so looked to see if there was a local paper where I hold the event..seems that there is so I am going to send them some editorial..so watch this space.0 -
            Afternoon all.
Deed poll arrived this morning :jso I've been to the bank to get that sorted and have a heap of letters to finish to let everyone else know as well.
Have emailed about a possible house. LHA doesn't quite cover the rent but I could afford to pay the rest.
Better go walk the Hovel dog.0 -
Birthday for dh, work, birthday tea for dh, schoolwork, get icklies in bed, schoolwork then sleep - not an inspiring day in the rain but at least they pay me.
Off to sneak a look at finances and shuffle some to credit card before they shout at me.
Well done Tenmah - is going to be a few years here yet:pMortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000

Marru: great pic, lol - that is rather how I feel!

Thanks hex!
Still pretty busy - will hopefully get to chat properly in the neat future. *sigh*
Oh, you can freeze milk, can't you? Do you just shake it once it has defrosted? And can I freeze a soft French goat's cheese?
Oh, and you know that risotto rice I mentioned. When I said 'a bit out of date', I really meant two years out of date.
Will it still be ok? You have to be a bit careful with rice, don't you? 0 -

Careful with cooked rice -as long as your rice is dry it should be OK - not 5 Star Restaurant A OK - but OK enough IYSWIM?
Remember they have sprouted grains and beans from stuff stashed in pyramids. So enjoy your risotto - with a huge glass of wine.
Just made the honey, oatmeal and beeswax soap to complement he chocolate soap from earlier - the whole house smells of Toblerone Mmmmmmmmmm!!!!
