I like handbags for daytime but when I go out (like I am this Friday night woooo hooooo) I prefer to go handbag free which is why I prefer to wear jeans as I can stick my cash, keys and lippy in my pockets and away I go :o I see all these young girls in their smart dresses and lovely clutch bags but really what a total PITA as you have to carry it everywhere!
Can you tell I am a tomboy at heart. I do try and be girlie girl but it is an effort sometimes :o

Can't speak for Mike - but pretty sure FW makes MrF carry his own :rotfl::rotfl:

MY guess is that as a techie he would have random CD's, data sticks, computer leads, laptop and leatherman tools :D

Of course, he may have lip-balm, hand-cream and copy of Cosmo??? But I think it unlikely :rotfl:

My list keeps doing that at the moment too!

Michael McIntyre calls it the "Man Drawer" - and yes, I'm sure everyone has one. I certainly do! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgUpDGAIdds

LOL first time I saw MM do the man drawer story I recognised it immediately and got OH to watch it on a repeat. He thought it was hilarious and did indeed recognise himself in the description of the collecting of used dud batteries, various allen key sets, random plugs and wires which he lovingly stores in several man drawers :rotfl:

I'm a girl and I have a man drawer. Well, I don't really, as it's a man box with all my leads in, and avery organised plastic container with all my used/unused/rechargeable batteries in, and a tidy drawer with all the rest. And a big kit containg tools. In pink. :D

OK - re manbox.... I want a manbox to keep DH in.......would be much cleaner & tidier than letting him live in the house :p

My bags are plump full, thank you...!

Gosh, you've used some electrons on this site since I was last around!

Some MSE members and my kids and I celebrated the anniversary, this weekend, of my wrecked house being rebuilt.

Good laughs, but I mention it to give a little bit more hope to those on here who are going through their own personal hells. It sounds so twee to say 'hang in there, it gets better...' but it does.

More importantly - and I can say this from experience - it also gets better in ways you can't currently imagine. And you won't be able to predict what will happen to get you there either.

I've had a crap five years, but I am gradually recovering all the things I lost. Stuff I took completely for granted, such as having a house, car, job and enough money to pay the bills.

Life won't ever be the same again but in many ways that's no bad thing. It seemed good at the time but there was a lot missing that I pretended wasn't important. Like many others, I was anxious about jumping, and had to be pushed.

I got back on the track by talking to my lovely GP, taking the meds recommended, demanding help, seeking out and talking to other people going through bad stuff, and learning to open up. Then accepting what was offered.

I realised that we are all very similar underneath, and that it's great talking to people with problems who have found ways forward that you can also try.

Don't live in a bad atmosphere, or somewhere you are unhappy. Don't stay with someone who undermines you. There are millions of very nice people out there who will like you too.

    Right. Carry on ladies.

I have located in the fridge the following items that need using (just don't tell my mother how out of date they are...)

    Black olives
    Silken tofu
    Peppadew peppers

I was thinking of some kind of pasta sauce. I have lots of vegetqbles, salad, pulses, tins etc. And the freezer is full to overflowing... So I need something we can eat rather than freeze!

Suppose I should get dressed and sort breakfast out... Scrambled eggs and tomatoes on toast :)

Mike hon - if I was feeling braver this morning I would pop a link to that post over on Ani's thread. She is in such a bleak place at the moment and I think it would be something that could really help her see a more positive future for herself soon.

I need to have a think about how to do this so that she takes it as coming from people who care rather than people having a go though.
