Well OH was over earlier today so my mind may well have been focussed in that direction...
Knew it.
By the way, I now have a recommendation on Linkedin :j:j:j but it still wants more................ I dont know it is worse than having a real life mentor! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

What are you lot like - sometimes wonder if anyone at MSE Towers reads this thread - for sure one day we will be mentioned in the weekly email for crimes against humour.
Yesterdays challenge:
It's the middle of the week and its time to tackle the demon paperwork. But don't worry I am not going to ask you to sort it all out today - today is just for your very first step.
Find a box, or crate, or big bag if it has got out of hand to that state.
Your challenge today s to take 15 minutes to zoom around your house and collect up all the random pieces of paper that are lurking in corners, stashed in school bags, hidden in handbags and tucked behind the toaster.
Toss them into the box - and 'that's all - I don't want you to tackle these yet, just collect everything together in one place.
Now go treat yourself to a cup of something soothing.

Oh dear knew we would get round to paperwork sooner or later - challenge one done as it has all been relocated to one cupboard recently - the cupboard locks so it can't all fall out onto the floor - guess that might be challenge 2!

Love the paperwork challenge - I have a massive pile of papers that I shift from room to room whenever I have that unnatural urge to "tidy up".....occasionally the 'important' stuff makes it to one of 3 big plastic crates under my bed. I'm on it
DD and I have been going through one of her bookcases to sort books into loft (for my future grandchildren!), give away to the charity shop and put back on the bookcase. We have about 10 books to finish off, then we can tackle the other bookcase....I'm feeling smugish as I've pretty much done mine and have a pile of books to read and then pass on.
Dorastar - love the sound of the locking cupboard, its probably a good idea that I don't have one......as I'd be lookng out to buy a second!0 -
Oh blimey, paperwork....
Desperately need to do this - have to find payslips for maternity allowance - I have to find the best 13 weeks out of 66 but I've been really rubbish at filing. Think a bag is probably optimistic, can I use several large boxes?
On a plus though, we're now up to 6 bin bags gone - DH cleared a bag full out of his shed, so just one more to go
Positive vibes for the hospital today Dorastar x0 -
I am playing next week - when I molest my cupboard of doom... I plan to scrub out the outside dustbin and bring that indoors and repeatedly fill it up wih unwanted junk... I think Monday is going to be a long day!
On the plus side, my leptop is still bust, so at least I won't be distracted by that lol!0 -
Today's quotation: yes, I'm needing a lot of these nuggets of inspiration at present, I'm a bit in the doldrums
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the
things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw
off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the
trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
— Mark TwainIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
