  • Hi World,

Our first day today of normality as far as school runs are concerned and it turned into a mad panic rush. DD's hair is that long and thick it takes me ages to do it, I had to get twice as many bags to the car and I just wasn't prepared. So tonight I will get her clothes out of the wardrobe ready for her change at nursery tomorrow. Uniform was all ready anyway and I will leave her hair in bunches over night to tidy them up tomorrow. I think an earlier start is in order too. So 6:10am it is aargh!

Popped to Mr Al's at lunch time for all their anti wrinkle creams. £18.45 on creams inc hair oil, but then I used to spend £30 on one cream alone and I did get a lot for my money so happy about that.

Popped into Poundies after and managed to get 12 kids b'day cards for £2 and 3 rolls of wrapping paper for 99p each. I also bought DD a little princess pack as she has been as good as gold this week. Got to spur her on..£1.29.

Im so excited, I have ordered pink foil cake cases and edible hello kitty heads for DD's party cupcakes, my mate at work is only charging me the price of ingredients for the cakes so thats a huge saving. Also ordered DD a cinderella secret diary to open on her birthday morning, as if she opens her big things she won't want to go to school.

Staying in again tonight as I have a busy weekend planned.

  • Hi Diary,
Its actually quite warm here today and it was this morning too, the chill from yesterday had gone.

Nothing really to report today, researched vitamins for woman in their 30's and bought some on offer. I need to start thinking about getting older and what vitamins I need, also need to have skin care regime to keep wrinkles at bay...obviously for when I meet my young millionnaire.

Bought mate a gateaux from Mr Al's to take with me tonight for her birthday...£1.50 and they are lovely. I got one for DD's party tea last year. Will also take my £3.50 bottle of wine also from Mr Al's. I love that place, Al is my guru.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

  • Hi Diary,
Well another weekend has gone by. Its been lovely and warm too. Friday night I went to mates and we had a bottle of wine each and a kebab for tea. DD had a happy meal and she had a great night, it was a very late night for her though as she is normally asleep by 8 and we didn't get until 10.

Needless to say DD was asleep until 9 on Saturday morning so it was a mad panic rush for dancing but I wanted to let her sleep.

The pressie didn't turn up for the wedding on Saturday night...was not impressed. So I ended up having to put £20 in the card. The whole night only cost me £13 though so the cost of the pressie didn't seem so bad and I will be able to give the photo frames away as a Christmas pressie.

I got home from the wedding at 2am, was just staggering down the path when a neighbour was on his way home too and stopped for a chat ha ha...I will miss the area when I move.

    Hi Mummy,
I can't find the website again with the vitamins on, I wrote down the ones for women over 40's seeing as though I will be there in a couple of years lol. Its the quantities that surprised me, we need all the B vitamins, niacin, pantothenic acid and folate (folic acid), vitamin A beta carotene, Vitamin C, vitamin D and calcium. The only thing I can find close enough to the amounts recommended are Womens Exclusive Formula from Holland and Barratt which you take twice a day.

I managed to rustle up egg mayo sarnies yesterday for todays lunch, everything I did was hard work yesterday but I also managed to do some washing so it wasn't a total waste of a day.

DM dropped by and picked up a load of stuff for the tip so that was brilliant, I feel like I am getting there with the garage now.

Total weekend spend = £46 :D (and that includes the pressie and a night out YEY).

    Ironing tonight yuk!

  • Hi Diary,
I feel quite well today, I think its because I have had a full nights sleep last night despite DD getting in my bed at some point.

Mummy, vitamins are the way forward, and they are on offer at the mo in Holland and Barratt. I am worried about getting up one morning and the nightmare of the last two years catching up with me.

I am popping to town at lunch time to get cheap bits for DD's party bags. I need to get some money out of the bank too as I am getting my eyelashes done tonight and going to a psychic tomorrow...seeing as the one in Feb kept talking about me and ex OH being really happy and moving to a bigger house!

This is the last month of little extra spends, next month DD's nursery bill goes up so I will be £200 a month worse off...I best make the most of it. Aw how I wish I could get out of my house and into a new one so I can start a new life.

Managed to get a few jobs done when I got home last night...only half a basket of ironing left now.

  • I have my 'doing' head on today. I have just found out that my nursery fee is another £20 a month as its the annual increment. So I have rang Familes guide and asked for a list of child minders who drop and pick up from DD's school. I don't really want to move her as its not her fault that I'm skint but that fee is so bad (£645 a month). Mind saying that, a child minder could be £28 a day which won't save me an awful lot monthly.

I have also rang the mediation place to make sure ex has an appointment as I am totally fed up of paying these fees on my own. He has one pending so I need to get out my diary and write down what I want and why.

Had my eye lashes done last night and am very pleased...I look like ermintrude. Having psychic reading tonight.

I have decided that I am going to make a start on clearing out the kitchen (praps Sunday). This is the last place for me to sort out, I will pack and bin what I don't need as at the moment my kitchen is huge...thinking it will be a lot smaller in new place.

Ive been busy in work today, people wanting my expert knowledge ha ha.

  • Hi Diary,

My head is reeling with everything I need to do before DD's birthday. I have started to make lots of lists.

When we were getting ready this morning I realised that DD's friends party was at 12 tomorrow and I hadn't picked the pressie up from the PO...she has dancing tomorrow until 11:15. So I popped to the PO on the way to work and picked it up (was only 10 mins late lol). I will leave work early tonight as I need to get petrol and wrap the pressie before we go out tonight.

My food and petrol budget still has £130 in, so this will pay for a tank of petrol and my fortnightly shop, plus I reckon it will do for the kids party tea on Thursday too.

I have £76 left in my everything else pot so will pay for DD's party with that and have to put a bit from another pot towards it.

My friend has recommended a child minder to me so we are going to meet her next Tuesday. It will work out at least £150 a month cheaper and she also takes Child care vouchers YIPEE.

The pyschic reading was brill the other night, he did mention I needed to sort my finances out!!!! Christ I can't do anything else with them. He also said I wouldn't be moving until next March (woe is me). Still the last 6 months has flown past. At least it has given me something to work towards and a bit of hope even if it doesn't come true.

  • Hi Diary,
I am so tired today, a few people have commented on how tired I look lol. I haven't stopped all weekend and then I slept really well so maybe the puffy eyes is someting to do with that.

    Hi Mummy,
You're so right, I have complained to nursery about the fees. DD is in half a day school but I still have to pay a full day to nursery because she is in over 5 hours a day, I think this is so bad. I said they will lose custom. The manager said to me that not many parents have kids full time in there, the people that do are claiming benefits so get help towards it. I am a single parent paying it all out of one wage.

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and packing a few bits and bobs. I built up DD's birthday present (for 2 hours grrr), went to Mr Als, made a quiche and ironed DD's school uniform. I also did 4 loads of washing which I will iron tonight when I get home from work before DD gets home...it doesn't stop does it?

My renewel for my car insurance is £10 less a month as I have taken ex OH's name off the policy. YEY. Plus I get 2 free months insurance which gives me the £100 I needed for DD's party.

I bumped into the man I was going to do a house swap with and he said he now has a job but its only contract. He said he is still looking into getting a mortgage. I have all my fingers crossed.

Child minder tomorrow night. I have put the house viewing back as they haven't sold theirs and I can't take on any more this week.
