No to Buying Unnecessary toiletries in August 2011!

Hi all,
Move over on the naughty step: I tried so hard!
INs:
1x 400ml HE Soft and smooth conditioner
1x 400ml HE Dazzling shine conditioner - These were both 86p in Boots with the half price offers and the 25% off coupon from ACM, too much of a bargain for me to ignore. I now have 4x400mls in stock, should last me a fair bit, and saved me a fortune!
1x Ciate! nail paint pot in after dark, free with Marie Claire. Looked like a lovely interesting purple, not sure about it tbh!
1x 50ml Dove Intensive oil conditioner also free with the Marie Claire. Will use this, so great. Was looking forward to the freebie dove intensive conditioner I was supposed to have won from a FB thing, haven't received it yet, mind you haven't received any of the freebies I've applied for recently....I digress...
2x M&S Ingredients cherry body butter. DEFINATELY DID NOT NEED THESE! I feel so guilty! Lovely though.
How many is that? 6
Will have 7 OUTs though with FB swapsies and Ebay. :undecided
My foundation and conditioner in use are currently spluttering0 -
Nothing to report but really testing my self control with these body shop offers. Keep telling myself I don't need anything and there will still be offers..... oh dear!
Hope everyone is safe and okNot buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Hope everyone is ok x
UU Umberto Giannini hair elixir - this is one tube from a pack of four. It's nothing special, still got 6 more to use!
A throw out boots botanics moisturiser relabelled for poundland as pure - WNBA it was as sticky as glue couldn't even handle it on my feet!0 -
Two INS, new Lush Face mask- brazened honey and a johnsons bodycare hand cream for my bag. Both needed so don't feel too guiltyDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
I admit I have given in to the body shop offer and have some ins to declare:o
lip roll on-its a gimmick, but a very refreshing one. It reminds me of the mint lip balm my mum used to use but they no longer do. The roller ball thingy is really cooling and it tastes nice and minty:o
coconut shower gel, sweet lemon shower gel, shea whip and vitamin e body butter. I haven't done my usual open straight away and sniff (apart from the lip thing) but will save these until I've used some of the stash.
I also bought a kabuki brush but that was necessary, honest!:rotfl:
I also have some more things coming in the avon delivery tomorrow, but I think I may end up returning most of it or giving it to my mum. Oh and I bought her a satsuma shower gel and lip balm so I didn't feel so guilty about my order:D
and 2 outs/uu:
UU avon nail experts cuticle balm-lovely thick balm but a bit greasy so I only used it at night. It did soften my cuticles but didn't do much else. I prefer the mira cuticle (this stuff is amazing!-when avon discontinue it, I'll be buying 10 tubes). The tin the balm came in was impossible to open so I transferred it to a body shop sample pot. I think this is discontinued but they have a new rose version.
out: lush whipstick-my mum commented and said this was making my lips darker () as in staining them? and my lips are dark enough:rotfl:she said this when I bought my first tin, so I just gave it to her. Or maybe she wanted it for herself...:rotfl:
I haven't come off the naughty step but it is pretty comfy here:D (and minty)Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -

I have the rose one and the smell is really nice, however it doesn't work for me. I purchased a TBS lip roll on last month when I had dry flakey lips and forgot to take my usual lip products with me, but it didn't soften the flakes at all.
INs
TBS Rainforest Shine Shampoo + Conditioner for me, Rainforest Moisture Shampoo + Conditioner for the OH. Took advantage of the 50% discount code to stock up as these are our favourite shampoos & conditioners.
Temptations
Ever since I was notified about Rodial's 75% off selected items sale, which I posted here, I've come so close to buying the Glam Balm & Glamoxy Snake Mask. The RRP of both would normally be £118 + p&p, but with the sale code it would be £29.50 plus £5.99, total £35.49. I really shouldn't buy more beauty products right now, but then again I've been reading reviews and am itching to finalize the order before the offer ends. What do I do... :undecided0 -

Would you mind letting me know how the lip product performs? I looked at these last time I was in TBS and commented to the SA that I'd used a rollerball years ago and ended up chucking it away before finishing because the ball itself dried up and wasn't getting any product on it. She went completely OT and told me that the product itself is very moisturising which is great if you can get to the product if the rollerball doesn't fail! I'm not convinced so would be grateful if anyone could say whether they can get to the end of this product. See :money: has changed my ways! lol
I'm also using the Avon cuticle balm again and agree with you that it's very greasy. I WNBA although like you say I think it's been discontinued anyway.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Hope that everybody stays safe! I'm in London, it wasn't that bad in my area.
Two big UU's:
Jergens Naturals Aloe Soothing body moisturizer (full size) - WIBA: I would but going cold turkey with my stash. It's only £5, and works great for the summer. It's cooling and refreshing, it calmed my insect bites and sunburn. It has quite a runny texture and sinks in quickly. I got it in June from their facebook trial, and used it every 2nd or 3rd day. I'm totally overflowing with body lotions, so I'm so pleased that I'm able to go through one so quickly! Before, one tube would last me a year, as I was rarely using them. Yay!
Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Creme (full size) - WIBA: No! It has a lot of alcohol, and doesn't remove make-up. I cut the bottle open to get out the last of the product, and it went off after a while. So binned it this morning.0 -
just got my september She mag with a note saying it has ceased publication!!!no prior warning or mention in the mag!!there is a coupon for a free hand cream from Occitane in it but really sad as my fav mag:(
also today got a coupon for a free Clinique eye cream.......if I buy any clinique item from Boots...not as good as the free foundation coupon!0 -
I would also ring the advice line for that brand and complain. When Clairol Foam Medium Brown turned my hair near black I was sent vouchers as compensation.
Thanks for this, I have just emailed Clairol to complain about their product, funnily enough it was the Clairol Foam that I used as well xMFW - currently at £23,610 (Aug 2014) MFD 20200
