Hi Everyone, I would love to join in the Weekly Flylady Thread. I'm moving into my house in a couple of weeks and my life will be disorganised beyond belief -I'm sure. I hope that belonging to this thread will 'ease the pain' of trying to get the house back to some sort of order.0

We are moving house on the 19th, maybe we can spur each other on!
I have taken a break for moving related stuff (we haven't done that much) to plan a very special birthday treat. It is my mum's 60th later in the year and I want to do something nice. I had planned to organise a family occasion but after all that has gone on over the last month I don't want anything to be too much of a strain for her. I have thought about arranging a lovely lunch for all of her family, probably an hour or 2 from where she lives. My idea is that it is somewhere that her and our immediate family can spend the weekend but that her siblings, mum etc can make the journey on the day to save them money. I am looking at the Western edge of West/North Yorkshire or Eastern Lancashire. I have had a quick look online for spa hotels or nice country places but I was wondering if any of you who live locally could give me any ideas. I guess we don't have to stay at the place where we eat but it might make it easier, it will depend on price.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Afternoon all, hubby enjoyed the centre and is back on monday for plastering (didn't get it done today), so they will teach him and he can do our room.....:D
While i was in the town i called into the womens centre and have looked at a few courses for september, i'm actual excited about it. We finish the courses by christmas and child care provided if there is places available. Think i'll go to the open day on tuesday too. :j
Flying wise i've washed our bedding and unloaded the dw.I will get more done later now i'm feeling more positive about things.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
ajmoney - We'll be moving in a couple of days of each other. I'll need a kick every so often as I've just made a list of things that I'll need/think I need to do and immediately got on here for support

Real progress is being made in the DC's rooms. DS1 just has about 4 boxes of stuff on his futon and then the whole of his bedroom will have been gone through (including every last little piece of carppy gibble) and sorted and tidied/ organised and cleaned - I must take a picture when it's done, as it'll never look liek that again!:rotfl:I haven't changed his bedding yet this week as I want to do it this weekend when it's all finished - he has some new stuff that I want to put on
DD is sorting her own room (with direction - 13 yo girls have an awful lot of carp) She too is going through everything and quite a lot has gone. Her ensuite is being refitted in Spetember (ooh - next month!) and I expect more to go then.
DS2's room is tidier - still needs much sorting (he's 5, so I'm doing the vast majority of it - he has a tendency to get easily sidetracked an d play...) I've not passed on as much from DS1 as I would normally - otherwise the carp in this house will never go down.. just increase as they have birthdays and Xmas...
DS3's room is good (other than the mess he makes daily) - he's only 2. He has a box of gibble in there for me to sort (not his stuff) and I need to rehang the blackout liners on his curtains (coming down) and finish painting his table and chairs (started last August...:o:o)

Afternoon all,
I've been to see the house. I fell in love with it before we went upstairs. It's got a good sized living room, a dining room leading to a smallish but brand new kitchen and a great sized garden. :j Unfortunetly the bedrooms are quite small but i don't think i'm going to get everything i want. I've put a deposit down and after holidays they're going to run their checks and all being well we could have the keys within 3 days of being back. :j:eek:0 -
Great news hollyh so we'll have 3 movers. As someone moved 3 times while flyin one of the best things we did the last twice was a box to bin, box to keep and box to sell every day. It could also be bags. Sorting through things piece by piece if it was to go with us or go. I kept 3 boxes or bags lined every day and put stuff in them as we went. Also helps when sorting a box room or any room where a good clear out is needed then put what's to keep in it's right place.
Well that's all but my bed cleaned under and that was done recently. Phew I'm so warm and sticky now. Managed a washer load (£5 for wash and dry but it's industrial size washers) done while I was cleaning. I've reorganised the cupboards that needed it too, had done a few already. Found better homes for some things.
Time to decide whats for tea and prepare it I think xOne day I might be more organised...........
