I forgot to add, they also took money from my sister in law after she had paid for the gift, they took a monthly rental charge from her bank account too even though it was paid upfront as a gift at Christmas - truly shocking0

Husband got a years subscription for Christmas from his sister, we had to give them card details to activate the gift.
Rang up to cancel beginning of Nov as it ran out in Dec, all DVDs etc returned. Was told couldnt cancel till next month as over the date (even though it was a year long gift ??) Various phone calls and emails to their call centre abroad where each time I phoned they would play pass the parcel with my call. I was apologised to and told it would all be cancelled. Thought all was well until January when we were charged ! went through the same process of phoning etc was told we would have refund, nothing. February, more money taken out of our account (which should have been closed at the end of the previous year) rang up fairly livid and was told as this wasnt a DD and was a recurring card payment there was nothing they could/would do and would ensure a refund.
March, again money came out of our account !! Cancelled card and actually switched bank accounts (by coincidence but who knows what would have happened otherwise) Never recieved refund despite being told we would.
My husband really wants to get the Tesco service but after Lovefilm I am really reluctant.
I would never ever touch Lovefilm again and to add insult, they still send us promotional offers - Like we would ever go there again.
the call centre were incompetent and didnt seem interested that they were taking money off us every month for a service that was a gift and we never had any intention of continuing (which is why we cancelled early)
Steer well clear, it might be a good deal to begin with but cancelling is a nightmare.
the irony is that the actual service itself was ok it was the afterwards which made it dreadful
Never ever again
