Lovefilm Cancellation

I am trying to cancel my Lovefilm subscription and I notice you now have to give them a phone call instead of simply doing it online. I assume this is because they want to try and persuade you to stay with them.
Can anyone tell me what to expect. Will they offer a free month?

They quite often do, either on the phone or by email afterwards.
Please note SEND YOUR LAST DVDs BACK BY RECORDED POST!!!
They have a bad rep for "not recieving your DVDs back" until after your monthly renewal date.Don't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0 -

Hi
If you wait till after 10pm in the evening then you can cancel your lovefilm subscription using the website.
Remember to send back your last dvd's via recorded delivery, just incase they try to bill you for another month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks to the OP for this one. I'm doing exactly the same today so this has been a big helps.

I rang to cancel after a three month free trial, they offered me 3 months for the price of one, soooo I have had 6 months for one months subscription. Was not sure if the call centre was in UK, it was hard to tell what the bloke was saying, but checked my account and it was Ok0

You can cancel online between 10pm and 8am and it will usually give you the option of another month for free.

If you plan in advance to cancelling, the method I use to make sure they can't say they haven't had my disc's back is to remove all your selections from the website. Then send them back. As soon as it shows that they are recieved, then cancel. When you have nothing for them to select your next dvd from they can't send you out another leaving you with another one to return.0
