Evening All. Been absent a while as my laptop is dying - apart from getting overheated I can no longer get it to charge - the battery and powerleads were replaced less than a year ago. For the past two weeks I've had to hold the wire at silly angles to make the light come on and now I can't at all! Will take it to the local repair bod tomorrow, but I suspect it's had it. I'm now borrowing DH's for a while!
DS had a second MRI on Friday - looks as if they're going to drill into his head to deal with this!
Up early to water the garden and get the washing started - all in now of course! Had runners and broad beans from the garden with lunch today. Looks like the perpetual spinach is ready to start picking this week.
The huge repair/redecoration project at church is finally done (well all the visible scaffolding and plastic shrouding has been removed - huge relief as I chair the property committee and it's been a bit of an anxious time lately! All was back to normal by Saturday and the bride and groom had no idea of how close run a thing it was to have the church "normal" in time for their wedding!
Oh well, hope to be around a bit more next week. Take care.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

HI there, not a brilliant day here. Two friends and their children stayed over last night so we had a bbq and drank a few bottles - but all out of stores! Out this morning to an eco park (vouchers from groupon) and as soon as we got there, whilst I was sorting out the vouchers and entry, my youngest tripped on a non slip floor (!!!) hit his head on a very sharp metal stand (promoting recycling) and there was blood everywhere. Cue 999, fast response team, worried Mum (me) and thankfully my two friends gathered up my eldest and took him inside the eco park. After seeing the doctor we've to go back tomorrow to see the plastic surgeon and then for my little one to be operated on tomorrow afternoon to sew his eyebrow back together.

No apologies from the ecopark and fortunately no lasting damage from my youngest! Wee bit cross though as I'm spending all day tomorrow in the hospital - how much will that cost in parking charges?!! Have very early start in order to get there on time, so night all xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Gosh esmf hope the little one is ok and tomorrow is not too traumatic x

Had the lazy day I was hoping for as far as housework but did walk for an hour around a lake not far from us. A lovley warm afternoon and lots of families out with their children and dogs, even saw a morris dancing troup.

Food wise not so good, why can't I just stop snacking and eat healthily, it sounds simple so why can't I do it:mad:

Taplady my Ds arrived home weary from the festival having had a great time but with a severe case of sunburn:eek: so have smothered him in aftersun and given him lots of food and water, I suspect he was dehydrated as well me thinks lots of alcohol and very little water. He has taken two paracetamol and gone off for an early night. You never stop worrying about them no matter how old they are.

Anyway just off for a mooch on ebay before bed, sleep well all x
