Morning all blooming cold is a nuisance my heads full of cotton wool and its banging like a drum at the moment .Summer colds seem to be the worst of all.I haven't had a cold for almost two years so I suppose I should be grateful. Eldest DD is in Lanzarote at the moment and she too has a bad cold ?don't know who gave it to her or did I get it off of her .DGS Danny is off to Majorca with his girlfriend tomorrow so I have to pop up and move the post daily as Dds door is although double glazed also glass so post piling up is not a good look when the house is empty ,still she will be home by Friday.I have a little ironing to do this morning and if I feel inclined I may push the vacuum around the sitting room floor,at the moment I just don't think my head could take any noise but once the paracetamols kick in I am hoping to feel a bit better.
I think some cereal for breakfast (not a noisy one though)then maybe cheese toastie for lunch ,dinner will be at youngest DDs tonight .Hope everyone has a good day and all you gardening folk get your bits done.I was going to sort out some pots for the patio but I might leave that till later in the week and get the little ones to give me a hand, they are good boys and very helpful if you tell them what you want doing.
right I'm off for a lightly buttered tablet, and some cereals
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
Bramble - I usually put cheques in an envelope with a note of my account number, etc and put it in their letter box.
Morning All
Busy night at work last night but that's it for a week as I'm off to Tallinn tomorrow. Glad I managed to get the grass cut and all the bedding dry yesterday as it's raining today so today's washing will have to go on the airers. Will have a good clean through today so DD wont have to do anything whilst I am away (not that she probably would anyway!).
Need to go bra shopping some time today too, will maybe go early on as the shops will be busy if the weather isn't too good.
Ironing all done and the woodwork painted outside. Will need to find someone to do the bits on the big ladder - I'm not brave enough!
Bitsy - hope you have a restful day, JackieO - well done in sorting out the bank! Take care. XX0 -
I've had a bath and cleaned the kitchen, I'm settling down with my HM iced coffee (it's too warm for a hot one!) and i got a couple of books at the charity shop yesterday so plan to get reading them today. one is a shopaholic one and the other is by Irvine Welsh (i think he's my favorite author, but you have to be in the right mood to read his books..)
I shall be snacking on L/o pizza through out the day (not good for my diet, but, don't want it to go to waste now do we?)
Bitsy I think you are right about the cash machine, so may have to wait to put the cheque in the bank. - atleast that means i can't spend it!
Camelot thanks for that! That would work i think.
I want some winter boots (ugg type preferably) but want the price tag to be a little less. Anyone got any suggestions? I can pick up really cheap imitation ones in town for about £6, but they don't last. My real ones which died this year saw me through 4 winters.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Good Morning All,
Just got up:eek: but it was a late one last night. The food went down a treat and there wasn't any leftovers. We ended up playing Cranium which was a scream, really good fun and I only drank a couple of Cinzano and lemonades instead of my usual gallon of wine which is great for my diet. (I know I am stuck in the 80's:p)
Feel like a lazy day and no cooking so will probably go somewhere reasonable for lunch. Must fit in a walk at some point today, this is day five and I do feel better for it.
I am joining WW on Monday with my friend. Its about a 20 min walk away so we shall walk there and back which will help. I know its a fiver a week but I really do much better with the support of a group. and its a good chance for us to catch up and have a natter:D
Bit overcast here today but nice and warm. DH is making me a boiled egg so will catch up with the thread later.
Have a good Sunday All J x
PS. Bramble have you tried ebay, especially at this time of the year.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good morning
JackieO hope you feel better very soon.
Bramble I was going to say the same as Camelot - just put it through the letterbox. It will get paid into your account tomorrow (I used to work for the halifax in a past life). Our local outlet village has an Ugg boot shop - is there anything similar near you?
Redruby good luck with your bathroom. Mine is so different I felt like I'd moved house once it was finished :rotfl: There are photos on my FB
Bitsy it does improve, honest. The child that was getting up at 4am around Christmas time slept until 6:30am yesterday and 7am today.
Today is tidy up day. It always is on a Sunday. I like the house to be clean and tidy ready for the next week. I still have some ironing to do and I'm going to make a diet cheesecake to share with my friends. One of my friends wants to start knitting again because of the knitted babies :rotfl:
I need to pick some rhubarb and do something with it - it's probably destined for the freezer if I can find a space.
Take care all of you0 -
