Thanks guys will walk pups down to the bank later and pop the cheque through the post box.
Pup is being a snuggly thing today, which is nice, he's going to west country with OH next week so i shall be on my lonesome with only Stinky Rabbit for company!
His exciting news is that he might be offered a full time role with his uncles company. Which would be amazing if he takes it, they are speaking tomorrow. It would mean we'd probably eventually move down to the Waterlooville area, as thats where it would be based. Before that he'd get digs down there and we'd see each other on weekends, but we shall see! I'm not getting too excited about it incase it doesn't come together.

Morning All.
Hugs for Bitsy, just because. x
Woop woop for redruby's new bathroom, had to laugh at "there may be arguments"- DIY causes full scale war in this house, because we're both always right :rotfl:
bethebee welcome back!

Tru I am impressed at your fortitude over the domestic services
I was meant to car boot today but OH and I had a long talk at midnight when I was meant to be packing the car, and decided that I would be better off Ebaying / Gumtreeing the items, its free listing today so guess what I have been doing? Just as well really as I still have a bit if a hangover - this is why I choose not to drink, I should have known better.
Five days to the wedding, kilts were finally ordered yesterday, and the place we found was £20 cheaper than the grooms for the same outfit  I told my sister to cancel, but its too much hassle really as he would need to go get measured etc. Ribbon and boxes for the favours should arrive tomorrow, I have told my other sister and my niece they are assembling them - I will make tablet - and asked sis to split the cost with me, cue moaning about how much it would cost (£10, she's as tight as a duck's backside!) - I haven't told her I am buying the wedding flowers, its none of her business, but I do wish she would learn to be a bit more generous. She forgets that people do stuff for her, for nothing - the bride to be keeps her 2 year old one night a week - and don't complain or expect anything in return. Families, eh? (Bride said she didn't want to do favours as it would be too much trouble and time, but she keeps saying "but you're supposed to do this, or that" I think she wants a lot more tradition than she realises / makes out)
Sorry you must be fed up hearing about this lot! Good news is I probably won't have a lot of time to be here this week, so it should be nice and quiet
Have a lovely day everyone, take care.

Good afternoon,
home yesterday from a week away in the lakes with OH and the kids. What a superb week of weather we had and in such lovely surroundings.
We had a very OS week and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I took most of our food with us and ate in every night, sandwiches etc for lunch each day. Only spent extra on more bread, meat etc for lunches and the daily ice creams / lollies whilst out. We did cycling, walks, boat trip etc, nothing fancy and it was bliss. Good to get home to our own beds last night though.
Washing machine has been on all morning and although dry, there is hardly a breath of wind here so not sure how dry it will be tonight....
Otherwise I have a (half price) joint of pork in the slow cooker for later and am in process of making inventory of my freezer & larder cupboard to assist with the meal planning etc. Into my 2nd month now and still amazed at the reduced amount spent and virtually no waste. I keep saying it but WHY didn't I start this before??? :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone x0 -

Afternoon.
Well I survived my first week back at work since my holiday.
I have hoovered the upstairs and hung out one washing. Think it will rain but it is windy at the moment so hoping it gets the washing dry before any rain.
Need to clean the bathroom and do some online banking.
Dinner tonight is chicken hotpot and HM brownies for desert

Hello all,
Do you mind if I join in? I am all on my lonesome today as my husband is away at friends and back this evening. Popped in to lurk but you all seemed so cheerful I couldn't resist posting.
Plans today are to do 15 mins tidying and 15mins relaxing on and off. Worked six days this week and had to miss our friends birthdays party as was working yesterday. My husband was really sweet on Friday buying me some nice bottled beer with his own money so I could have something to look forward to when I came home to an empty house on Sat night.
Would like to get the house all neat and do some laundry so that when he is back we can relax together. Also need to menu plan.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -
Welcome Hedgesparrow - Hope your tidying goes well and you enjoyed your beer!0
