. Some women use wipes every day to clean their make-up off, I don't but I do use them for my bottom.
?
I dont know where this trend for wipes came in but it disgusts me when I think of how many must be clogging up landfills.:eek:In my experience you dont feel clean and they dont remove makeup all that well either..plus they cost an absolute fortune even if you buy the cheapest..What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Ilona (from Super Scrimpers?) always said, when talking about loo roll, that she used 'three for a poo, two for a pee' (sheets, not rolls!!!!)
And don't forget - 'If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down'!!!!!:o:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Amount £21862:eek:April 2013 = £20414:T April 2014 = £11000 :TApril 2015 = £9500 :T April 2016 = £7200:T

Either way they still clog up landfill. I was given some wipes to trial. I actually still have them tho the trial was ages ago. I wash them and rewash them in with my laundry loads and use them for hankies. tissues and to remove excess handcream etc..

The wipes are very convenient for some things. I use flushable wipes to clean the loo because I found using reusable cloths didn't work well. Previously I had to get a bucket which is only used for dirty things to wash them after use, then I had to take it downstairs to throw away the water in the outside drain, then drying them only to discover they still smell badNow I just wipe the outside of the loo with a wipe, flush it and it's gone.

Use water from a jug with a long spout. This is common practice in many countries and does leave you very clean and fresh. The left hand is used to 'clean' as the right hand would be considered the hand that you eat or drink with iykwim!
A family I stayed with in Istanbul had this system, they had a squat-type toilet with a tap a foot or so from the floor with a jug next to itMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
