How to make money to pay for my college course?

Ive never heard of a college charging a 16 year old student ANYTHING,especially if that student lives at home and is financially dependent! Are you sure you've got the right information? Also you could be entitled to a bursary which would cover the cost of books, travel and your t-shirt. I think it would be wise to speak to a financial advisor at your college. Your parents will be receiving money for you to go to college, this is to aid your education, NOT to pay your food and rent!! I understand you want to be financially independent and I admire you for that but if you really value your education and career I think you need to get help from your parents in this. I was 16,living alone, and trying to pay rent while studying full time and keeping a full time job and I struggled! So accept any and all help you are offered! Good luck!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130

Okay - people, i really appriciate your help but its not helping me.
I already know about CBR's and Funds. I need IDEAS to gain the funds.
Without that money i can't go. I DONT pay for them teaching me i PAY to get my equipment.
As for the CBR CHECK & CHURCH:
They don't allow anyone who has commited a serious crime on their team for children.
The church pays for the CBR not me but i need to pay for another CBR for college.
The CBR check is not free but is £50 (half price)
I need ideas on how to raise money not telling me stuff i already know£11.01/ £1000 -

Simple question, have you or have you not spoken to a college financial advisor?
The answer to that question determines the type of advice that will be given!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -
With regards to the books, it might be worth going to the course without them where you can assess if you really need them. You might get there and find that they are rarelly referred to or that someone from the previous year is looking to find someone to sell their copy to cheaply. As someone has said above the college library may hold spare copies too.
I can only really echo the answers given previously regarding how to make money, selling things you no longer need can bring in some extra cash, especially if it's considered collectable.
When I left school I was lucky to be offered some casual work in an office, just organising their spare paperwork. It paid me minimum wage but I was able to choose my hours and give me some experience. Maybe it would be worth putting together a CV (I know it's hard when you've just left school!) and posting it to some local businesses to see if there's anything they can offer.
I've probably not been much help but if there's any more you'd like to ask feel free to send me a message, I'm 20 and it wasn't long ago I was in a similar position.Thank you competition posters!

have you looked on ebay or amazon for the books? I got my uni books at like 90% off! Also check the noticeboard in your college as leaving students often advertise their books for sale.Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130

You mentioned before that you and your Nan are considering a craft business. Do you have anything made at the moment that you could try and sell, whether that be at a car boot sale or a website like etsy.com? It might give you a bit of a good reputation to begin the business with too.
What are you like with animals? You might be able to make some money looking after dogs, cats etc while their owners are on holiday. I do this for my neighbours dogs and all it really involves is taking them for their walks, feeding them, keeping them company etc. If you like animals it's an extra bonus as it doesn't feel like a job!Thank you competition posters!
