    Hi everyone,

You are all doing so well...keep up the good work.

I haven't been on here since thursday I think, been busy, busy. busy! I did 5 hours of my new part-time job on friday so that's £70 extra to my first weeks total.

Yesterday I sold a free book I got from work for....wait for it...£35! After fees and postage I am left with £29.74 - woohoo :j

I also sold a book from my own collection and after fees/postage is £3.66.

I haven't managed to do any matched betting this week but will hopefully get to do some on friday.

Off to update my total now...

  • As long as you put it towards whatever you were saving for with this challenge, i.e. paying off debts, saving for a holiday, etc. If you say "Wow - I've got £15 to buy something nice in the shops", and buy something you wouldnt have before, I would say it doesn't count.

    As IF! lol

All my cash is going straight in my account towards my £1600 overdraft - I'm hoping to get it down to £600 by the end of the challenge :money:

So does that mean I can count 5 x £14.99 (Feb, March, April, MAy & June)

  • Am new but on for the bronze. Do Tesco clubcard points and nectar points count?
  • Do Tesco clubcard points and nectar points count?

As a general rule, Olympians count them when they use them, i.e. if you use Tesco clubcard points for discounted theme park tickets, you would then put the money you WOULD have spent towards your Olympic challenge, and make sure that its used for whatever reason you're doing the challenge, i.e. overdraft, holiday savings, rainy-day-pot, etc. Your points will count for a lot more that way, rather than a penny each :)

I'm flabbered! I put up a lot on eBay about 5pm last night, and when I checked at 8am this morning, there were 4 bids on it already! Very chuffed with that, looks like my challenge is finally taking off :j

Lol, isn't that the point of the code?

How goes the running totals Wings?

  • Okay, a mini-challenge. I want the funniest response to the joke with an as-yet-undetermined punchline:

"How many MSE Olympians does it take the change a lightbulb?"

    :D

The totals are going well. I've added everyone that's sent me their totals, although less than half of the Olympians have sent theirs so far. From chatting with Annie, I think that that will be quite the norm. But progress is good. As soon as I get access to Acrobat Writer (shouldnt be too long - may just download a free trial!), I can put together a newsletter.

I'm staying tight-lipped on figures until I publish them later this week. :D
