Hello everyone....
Why am I not surprised to find 'everyone' here!!!
So sorry for not being around on the MFN challenge - particularly as I was supposed to be doing the 'figures'. Our children were going through an awful time, we had problems with our ISP and my virus software nearly crippled my pc - so not a good time in all!
Children are still having a fairly rough time, particularly at school, so we are currently considering home schooling them
However... if you'll let me, I'd love to join in and to go for gold too...
I really need this year to be my year to become Debt Free...

hi welcome back frugal. im sure no one will mind you joining. i wish id been home schooled my school life was a misery with being bullied. i hope things get better for them soon. if it is bullying can i offer some advice? let them fight back dont tell them to run. i was always told to go to teachers and not fight back but it got me no where. i no alot of people wouldnt agree but its only when youve been through the most extreme things you understand. i wish iid hit back a few times and been stronger i dont want myu little lad to be bullied and when hes old enough to know ill tell him to hit back if anyone touches him. if he is the bully ill kill him but dont take any crap from people.
sorry for the ramblings hope you didnt mind me posting it.
and welcome to the new challengeback to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -

Got home last night to find a letter from a local petrol station with a cheque for £10 and an offer of a free car wash :j . I fell over on the forecourt of said petrol station last week where a drainage channel, a slopey curb and 2 sections of concrete met. OH got out of car to help me up and I hobbled in and paid with blood running down my leg (and a hole in my tights) and the guy at the counter said nothing.
It's my new years resolution that if I get rubbish service, have a problem I complain, if somethings great I tell them so - so I emailed the next day expecting nothing or a sorry and was really surprised when I got the letter and cheque. As I said in my email to them if I'd just fallen over on a flat surface then I would think it was my own stupid fault but to have a really uneven surface just by the door wasn't the best idea in the world.
Anyway I've put the £10 in my fund as it's money I've made - perhaps my resolution was a good oneeven if I have had a sore knee all week and still have a nasty scab
