Aw - fdf - you'll do better next week. It seems that a lot of people have hit a tough patch at the moment. A couple of months in and it is getting hard work. The big items have all been sold and it is now fighting to make pennies and pounds.

My motivation is a little low at the moment, especially as I'll have to take some money off the challenge as I have a non payer (included it in there when I sold it).

Have quite a bit to list but not really got the urge at the moment! Hope I feel better tomorrow! :)

fdf - well done on your payrise - it'll work out to be quite a bit, won't it?

  • it works out around £600 per year before tax so Im really pleased, I was expecting one, but not that much!! :D

sorry to hear about the non payer, its soooo annoying isnt it!

Im struggling to think of new ways to make a bit more, as I said I have nothing left to sell really. Still have a load of stuff sitting on amazon and greenmetropolis, have signed up to almost every reward site going and so many survey sites I am actually getting scared to open my email there is so much to sort through! :rotfl: (especially if I go away for just 1 night!!) but its all worth it!

but having said all that Im pleased at having made what I have so far, so thats great! :D

does anyone else feel strange about the money, its sat there and I cant quite believe its mine! I felt like that with the money for nothing challenge too! the £60 I made from that has never been touched! (Im saving it for a rainy day!) that £60 I kept in a piggy bank at home in cash and still it didnt feel real!

So far I have managed to buy an old car outright - a lot of the money is just being used to keep our heads above water. It's a quiet time of the year for the business - but we are planning to open a coffee and chocolate shop in about a week if we can iron out the final problems in the lease - then we should start to get a steadier income (in theory!!!) I still have a few hundred in the savings account. The books are making about £500 a month which is enough to keep our heads above water - I would have been getting more in to debt if it wasn't for this challenge, oh... and my house wouldn't be full of books!!! lol

    :)

I've used some of the money for debt repayment and also for emergencies - having just started the DMP I cried when the car died but because of this challenge I had the money!! So I don't have all the money in the bank ( but still a decent amount!) but I am not more in debt and have managed to solve crisis situation - so thanks to all. I don't know why my motivation is a bit low though as I do know how much it's helping and also something to focus on as my dfd is soooo far away!

Anyone else been using their challenge money or are you like fdf and can't spend it?:D
