    Hey Sea

Did you have any luck with that lamp thingy?

Yours sounds a bit different but we use bendy lamps at work to look at things under the microscope.

    Hi

I've not listed it yet - am waiting for a calm time so that I can give it my full attention! I reckon it must be an electricians help tool, or even to look inside a computer?

On the bright side, my saab item has 13 watchers, so unless it's all you lot seeing how it's going(!) :) I am hoping for a bidding war come this evening.

OMG I'm a bit excited and had to share!! I put a £25 freebie from matched betting on Liverpool and Man Utd to draw 0-0 and laid at BF for an expected £24 return.
And came out with £224 on an SNR!!!!:j :j

Reason is that Man Utd scored in the 92nd minute.....so Betfair paid out as they include injury time, and the bookie also paid out because they don't!!!

I realise this can also work against you, but in this case it's fab news! That's my £1K barrier broken. :T

Me too except mine was a £50 free bet

I don't think this could have worked against us though, as I believe Totesport paid out on the result at the end of 90 minutes AND the result at the end of normal time :)

Smartypants! How did you know what bookie it was?

And how did you get a £50 freebie from them?

But well done....that means you got £400 courtesyt of Man Utd's ability to score so late!!

There's a thread on rpoints where people who backed 0-0 as part of the Totesport offer are trying to work out why they've got more money than they expected :)

I was really lucky as the e-mail Totesport sent me said "Place a bet of £100 on the match and get a free £50 in-running Correct Score bet" - not sure what I did to deserve more money than you :)

You've probably been with them longer and put more money through them.....

I'm not complaining though....was delighted when I got home from Arsenal and checked my bets....I also couldn't work out why I'd been paid out on both sides - it wasn't until today that the notice appeared on their website about the correct score offer.

Probably the best moment of my matched betting career so far.

Right....back to my ebay listing. have lots of items finishing in the next hour and am trying to tempt purchasers with more goodies. :D

    YEAH FOR ME

thanks to this comp i have now been able to use some of the money to pay off one debt and with my ebay and amazon coming in very nicely now
i will be able to pay off another in two weeks

that will only leave me with the big one left

(sobs) god i love you guys :rotfl:
without you and this and my £2 club i would never have been able to do this
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • well Ive just had a fantastic trip into town so thought I would share it (probably more suited to the boots thread but wanted to share it with you guys!! :))

went to spend my £5 worth of nectar points and the remaining £13.57 from my boots gift card (so I have £18.57 to add to my total)

what was even more amazing was that out of my own purse I spent £10.67 plus the above and came home with over £55 worth of stuff including 3 gifts that I needed to buy!

I started in boots where I read about the free sanctuary weekend bag worth £10 if you bought 2 sanctuary products (total value £19!) spent £9 from boots gift card! (inside weekend bag was a £3 voucher for the new sanctuary skincare also because I spent over £5 got a £5 no7 voucher)

    cost to me 0!

Then went into argos and bought my nieces birthday present worth £10, used my £5 worth of nectar points and paid the rest.

    cost to me £4.79!

Went to another boots to use my skincare voucher but when I got there a staff member was handing out £5 vouchers and said I could also use an extra £3 on from the magazine, so that was £8 off of the skincare set that was £12, costing me £4 for which I used the giftcard again! plus the staff member gave me a couple of free samples!

    cost to me 0!

Then used the original £3 skincare voucher for some sanctuary face wipes (cost to me £1.95) and the £5 no7 voucher for some mascara (cost to me £4.50) unfortunately giftcard didnt cover all this so actually had to spend some of my money :(

    cost to me £5.88!

obviuosly if I included all my savings I could boost my total by alot more, but I am only counting the boots gift card and the nectar points (may include the £10 free weekend bag when it gets given as a gift as the cost of that gift is budgeted for april)

if none of this makes sense im sorry but I was so excited I had to share it!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • sorry for the above post didnt realise how long it was :o got a bit carried away!
