A slightly bizarre ebay tip for everyone, but one that has worked for me many times. If you have an item that doesn't sell, wait a week and then relist.....at a higher price!

Sounds crazy, but it seems to be somehow psychological. People see something really good and think that because it's SO cheap, there must be something wrong with it, but are happy to pay a bit more as if it's reassuring in some way.

I sell quite expensive stuff, and this trick has worked many times. I have two items up at the moment...absolutely identical, but one is £3 more than the other....guess which one sold last night?

    :rotfl:

This is working for me at the moment. I put an item on than ended last week at 99p. Put it on a 3 day auction to end today (forgot to put the code - sorry!) with an increased price and it currently at £8.50!

Quidco paid me so I am now over the £200 mark. Yippee!!!
Once my camera is fixed going to try to sell a few items on ebay. (Will try the higher re-listing trick on one of them.)

Got a lovely and unexpected cheque from the council yesterday for £120 as i had paid a whole years council tax, but moved out before the end of the year. It made my day! So that will be added to my total.
  • where is everybody tonight?

had my first lot of interest to add from my cahoot account which is where my challenge money is sitting, so a small boost to my total today!

also found 1p in the car park today (every little helps! :)) have put it in my change pot!

Since October, but I stopped during Nov/Dec and started again seriously in Jan.

Am really into it now and it shows that if you follow the rules then there's good money to be made. I just had an email from a bookie I've already done trying to tempt me back....with another £25 freebie. Woohoo! :D

Also had lots of things sold on ebay this week so my update on Sunday should be good.....and I'm hoping to break the £1K barrier on the matched betting too.

By the way....that clock my mate was ebaying went for over £1400!!!!

    If only, eh?

bet the owner of the clock was pleased when they told them!!

Im really annoyed, booked flights for 5 to milan in may with ryanair on tues eve for a hen weekend, (apparently their sale ending 01/03) looked on there a minute ago and now they are £10 cheaper per ticket!!! (sorry not exactly challenge related! :o)

S'ok.....SOOO know what you mean - that always gets me too.

Think of it as part of your challenge to make up the extra £10....wonder if there's a way to do it at Ryanair's expense?:D
