yes which may seem like a huge amount but with iphones and android dont mean much these days

maybe so but the OP has an average bill of £60
so they aren't using 4GB a month in the UK

why do I think it might be sat nav or maps...but either way, need to know where the OP went and what her travel days are, it could save her a fortune...

I think Orange is £3/MB for EU and £8/MB for ex-EU so £5000 would be 625MB or 1667MB. Impressive to get through that in 5 days.

Until you know where the OP went we can't be sure of data volume used - cost per mb depends on destination - for example - its £8 per mb in the US.

its about the same price in europe

What is the EU Data limit?
We know how easy it is to get carried away sending data when you’re abroad and come back to bills you didn’t expect. That’s why from 1st July we’ve added a data limit of 16MB per month (pay monthly and mobile broadband) or 12MB per month (pay as you go) to your account so that you’ll never pay more than €50 (approximately £44 inc VAT) for sending data in the EU. Great news.

Where does the data limit apply?
The data limit takes affect in EU countries, so that’s the Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands zone and Europe 1 zone. View a list of countries included in these zones.
The data limit does not apply in non EU zones.

So yes, yes I can state that I can save more if she travelled after the 1st of July to an EU destination.

As she should only have been charged £44inc VAT for her data...

    Okay?
