Your right Trets77 an extra £10 is worth it I didnt realise the MyTravel was direct.

This is the MGM Grand offer https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=001&code=sdm027&kbid=27920

Im slightly worried that it says the 'Players Club Card' must be presented at check in. Ive signed up for the Players Club for free, so Im hoping they'll send me the card in the post. Im just wondering if I have to use it first before I can take advantage of the deal. Has anybody else used a deal where you have to have a players club card?

    Cheers,

    Baz
You just go to the players club booth, (bear left and follow the wall along as you enter the hotel) before you register, they will have it waiting for you
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Hi

I'm not well travelled at all and i'm embarking on an adventure this november to Vegas with around 10 others. Has anyone any tips on "group booking" we'd all like to fly Virgin and stay at the MGM, a couple have been before and we've gone and agreed we'd try it this way. are there any sites that we could benefit from?

    Ali
Why particularly do you want to fly with Virgin:confused: Ther image is better than there product, trust me, I have flown with them more than 20 times and they are the pants now:eek: If your budget can push to a couple of hunder more, try https://www.maxjet.com Have been with them twice now, and they kick Virgin into touch, buisness class for less money than PE:T

    Hi everyone,

im a student and working in america for the summer. I'm planning on going to vegas or 3 nights, probably september 3rd - september 6th. I will only be 20 by the time i go to Vegas, and i know that most require me to be 21 to check in and as i'l be by myself i wont have anyone else to check in with me.
Also iv been to vegas before so i understand i wont be able to drink, loiter in the casinos etc.

What hotels do you recommend for me! i know that the tropicana and the riviera allow under 21s check in. I want to be on the strip, but obviously to be cheap.

Iv found a deal for the tropicana for £99 for (3 nights, 3rd, 4th, 5th sept) including tax. Is that a good deal?

Also, how much would a taxi/shuttle/similar cost to and from the airport?

    Thanks or your help!

    Hello everyone

I am just wondering if I can get some opinions on this deal. I am looking to go from London to Las Vegas in the middle of June with my girlfriend (am flexible as to a precise date). We want to stay for 6 nights. I have checked Expedia, and have found 6 nights, with direct flights (virgin) from Gatwick, for £1241.58. This is staying in a pyramid room. (13th - 19th June).

Is this a good deal? I have checked virgin and the flights alone with them are £898 for the pair of us!!!

A bit of of a naive question, but if I did go with this deal is it worth paying the extra £5 each for the transfers from airport to hotel!!??

    Any help or advice appreciated!!

    Cheers!!

If the flights are £898 then that gives you £344 or so for the rooms...at the current exchange rate, that is about $688 (though obviously the exchange rate can shift).

Luxor currently has a special that covers your dates for about $740:

    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=LUX&host=promo&code=PGET20&kbid=275588&sub=vhs1

In addition to the room, you get

    • One $30.00 Dining Credit good at Fusia our Asian inspired restaurant or The Luxor Steakhouse*
    • $5.00 off each Dinner Buffet or $3.00 off each Lunch Buffet at Pharaoh's Pheast*
    • One $20.00 Nurture Spa Credit for Spa services*
    • One 2 for 1 admission to Nurture the Spa at Luxor*
    • One 2 for 1 IMAX Movie theatre ticket*

With the food credits you would be about even with expedia...if you used the spa and IMAX vouchers, you'd be better off.

I would always book with the hotel as you then have the freedom to cancel if you find something better. And if you gamble at all, you could earn comps toward the room charges (which you can't do if you book with expedia)...but it doesn't sound like the expedia deal is horrible - so if you want to lock the rates in and not have to worry about the fluctuating dollar, then it seems like a good enough deal.

Sorry, forgot about that part...does it say who they are with? I think that regardless, have read so many times about people having trouble with their shuttle back to the airport (late pick ups, never showing up) that I wouldn't do it myself...I think the shuttles are about $5-$6 each one way, but with 2 of you, a taxi to and from Luxor would not be too much more...would recommend the taxi myself.

flying on 2nd of May in 2 weeks time............£324

    flying on 16th may ...........................£368

from what i can see Virgin own websites all top £500 ..BMI lowest is £450. even airline network indirect with NW airlines is £349

lets see if any patterns can be pick up on with mytravel flights. £199 is a amazing price !!!

I can't believe people are only now looking at the Manchester Mytravel flight. Its virtues have been extoled many times in other threads. $199 is good compared to the scheduled flights but almost 75% more expensive than the same flight was last year. Easy rule of thumb, prices during school holidays will not fall too far, outside school holidays prices will fall until only the fly drives and a few apartments are left. That indicates the plane is near full and you could miss out with ith being full or the prices hiked skyhigh again.
Used it 3 or 4 times, usually around the $140 mark, might have been $250ish one time.

Used this flight many times - (not this year yet), and they use A330's - legroom is bearable, don't expect to sit with the missus if you book last minute! Wednesday flight is uaully a touch cheaper, but watch out for large seat sales on Saturday prior to departure that may leave you stuck!. Ignore the car at the other end as hiring diect yourself with insurance is cheaper than their options. Also check airtours.com website as its the dsame flight and occasionally prices are slightly different.

    Hey!!

I decided to book them separately (cancellation ability with hotel etc...). Just one more question, when do we receive those meal and i-max vouchers? On check in presumably?

By the way I got the flights for £898.40 & hotel room for $708 dollars ,which is only about a tenner dearer than expedia!!

    Cheers
